Chapter Four - Deal

I walk up to my room and I see my Mom coming up the stairs to my room.

"What do you want?" I say aggressively.

"Sweetie, why are you upset?" She asks with a soft expression.

"Mom...why did you lie to us?" I ask.

"We did it to protect you.." She starts.

"Mom...I was almost taken by them....a-and t-the one that had me w-was.." I start but a lump in my throat forms and it stops me from speaking.

"Shh...it's okay now.." She sits down on my bed, taking me with her and starts stroking my hair. "They can't hurt you here....we won't let them hurt you.."

I cry into her shoulder. "I love you mom." I sob.

"I love you too sweetie..." She continues stroking my hair.

I come downstairs and look at my Dad. He looks at me but doesn't say anything.

"We're having rabbit stew for dinner." My mom says breaking the silence.

I sit down and don't eat, instead only play with my food.

"Don't play with your food." Dad says.

I glance up at him but look back down at my school. He puts down his spoon and looks up at me.

"Follow me." He says.

"Dad! She's your favourite isn't she?" Lilith pouts.

"Lilith you're the favourite." I roll my eyes.

"I have no favourites. I just wanna speak to your sister." He calms her.

"Fine.." She continues to pout.

We get up and walk outside and kept walking until we made it into the woods. My senses were heightened, I didn't want what happened before to happen again.

"Now....what did you want?" I ask, slightly nervous.

"Why are you so worried? I know what happened but no one did anything to your except those Shadow Knights.." He turns his hands into fists until his knuckles were turning white.

"A-Actually.....Vylad.....h-he....." I murmur.

"He what?" He says, with a little Br of anger in his tone.

"He gave me to them..." I mumble.

His expression turns from anger, to a 'I'm about to kill him' look.

"Dad...what are you going to do?" I ask.

Out of nowhere, he starts transforming into Gene.

"W....What?" I ask cautiously walking back.

"Oh, you're just too cute." A guy comes out of the bushes. He looked like a guy my mom and dad used to talk about.

"Stay back!" I demand.

"Oh yeah? Who says?" He asks with a cheeky smirk. Admittedly, I kind of liked it.

"I do." I say.

Gene was sitting on a fallen tree smiling.

"So why don't you make me?" He takes a step forward and I take a step back. "You are seriously cute." He says while smirking.

"Please stop." I roll my eyes.

He takes another step and I take a step backwards. He takes a few more steps, but I can't back up because I'd walked into a tree.

"You've trapped yourself." He mocks.

"I still have a fighting chance.." I mutter.

"You couldn't hurt me even if you tried." He says.

"Oh yeah? Wanna make a bet?" I say, but now I was smirking.

"Sure. If I was right, you have to come with me." He says simply.

"And if you were wrong, you have to leave me alone." I say.

"Deal."

"Deal." I imitate him.

Now it was time to fight...
