Her Divinity (Sequel to Her Eyes)

Chapter Seven - Malachi..

He shifts back and stares at me wide eyed.

"He.....he was my dad." He says with a voice full of sorrow.

I go back into my human form and hug him.

"What happened to him?" I ask, trying not to upset him further.

"He wouldn't kill anyone close to him and he.....died.." He sobs.

I rub his back and look him in his soft golden eyes. I was attracted to them for some reason. He was staring back into my silver eyes, I don't know where I got them from though, Lilith and Jay had brown eyes.

"It's...okay." I say, still looking into his eyes.

"Y-You're beautiful you know that?" He compliments me.

I blush and look down slightly. "T-Thank you Calvin."

He takes his hand and lifts up my chin. "Can I.....Can I kiss you?" He asks and smiles nervously.

I look at him nervously. This would be my first kiss and I wanted it to be special. A part of me wanted to say no, but my other half demanded say yes. I blush and nod at him.

His eyes light up and he kisses me. We close our eyes and melt into the kiss. It was short and sweet, and before I knew it, it was over.

"ANNALISE!! CALVIN!! WHERE ARE YOU!?!" We hear my dad calling for us.

"I love you. Let's go." He says while taking my hand and leads me to my dad.

It was different at the village, things felt...peaceful and happier. I wonder what happened..

Levin and Malachi walk up to me and hug me.

"We were so worried!" Malachi exclaims, looking at me with a soft expression.

"I made a new friend guys." I break out of the hug and pull Calvin out from behind the tree.

He smiles at them and extends his hand for them to shake it. "Name's Calvin, you're village is very nice. Thank you for letting me stay."

"Y-You're a Shadow Knight.." Levin says shakily.

"Levin!" His brother scolds him.

Calvin looked a little hurt and takes back his hand. I pat his back and smile at him. "It's fine. It's just, we all thought Shadow Knights didn't exist before." I explain.

He lets out a breath of relief and nods. "I can turn back into my normal look. I'll be right back."

He disappears behind Kawaii~Chan's and Dante's house. After a few seconds he comes back, he was wearing normal clothes now and his eyes had turned a darker gold.

"Hope I don't look too different.." He says while looking at his clothes.

I stare at his gorgeous eyes. Levin and Malachi look at me with slightly disappointed faces.

"A-Anna?" Malachi murmurs.

"Huh?" I say snapping out of my gaze.

"Can I talk to you for a second?" He says through gritted teeth as he glared at Calvin.

"Sure." I say while shrugging.

He drags me into one of the alleys and checks to make sure no one can hear us.

"What the hell!?" He whisper-yells.

"What!?" I whisper back.

"You making lovey eyes at Calvin!" He says gritting his teeth.

"So!?" I slightly yell.

"Oh my Irene have you not seen the ways.....the way that's I look at you!? Have you ever once thought that I wanted to be more than friends!?" He croaks out with watery eyes,

"M-Mal..." I say softly.

"No Annalise! You never let me ask you out or anything! Five years! Five! I had loved you! And you never once thought twice about my letters! You always thought it was a guy from school!" He says slightly crying.

We always used our nicknames. He was serious. "Malachi, I'm sorry! But....but how was I supposed to know!? Oh Irene Mal...I-I....I'm sorry Mal...." I say falling onto my knees. "I'll be honest with you. I waited....I was too shy to ask you if you liked me...I didn't want to embarrass myself and be rejected...and now...Calvin is straight forward and-and I....." I break down in tears.

"Don't cry Annalise! Because I know that's a lie!" He grits his teeth.

"Malachi I am NOT lying!" I cry out. "WHY CAN'T YOU JUST BEIEVE ME!! I WAITED JUST AS LONG AS YOU AND I'VE MOVED ON NOW!!" I yell at him, I take a deep, shaky breath. "D-Do you remember the time when we went to that party...and you kissed that girl?" I ask him.

"Y-Yes.." He looks down.

"My heart broke...I was in my room crying for days and came out as if nothing happened. But it hurt me...a lot. SO WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LET ME HAVE HAPPINESS!?!" I get up and run towards the beach.

"ANNALISE WAIT!!" I hear him yell.

Tears slowly fell down my cheeks as I ran, I wipe them away with the sleeve of my shirt and keep running. Why can't he just let me have some happiness in my life...
