Chapter Five - Fight

He takes long strides towards me. It's not long before he is standing right in front of me.

"You've got cute wold ears." He whispers.

I blush but keep looking him straight in the eye.

"And a cute tail." He says as he grazes his hand along the tip of my dark brown tail with a white tip. "And your stunning silver eyes.." He says.

"W-What are you doing?" I say and bite my lip.

"Waiting for you to strike first." He whispers huskily into my ear.

It sent shivers down my spine. Good shivers. I look him in the eyes and lean in. He smirks and leans in as well.

"It's not that easy.." I whisper before punching him in the face, sending him back.

"Heh...you're good." He says while rubbing his jaw.

"Thanks I guess.." I get into a fighting stance and look at Gene. He was curious and amused.

While I was distracted, he threw a punch at me and hit me in the side.

"You get distracted easily, don't you?" He asks amused.

"Not really...it's just," I swing a punch at him but he catches my fist. "People are trying to abduct me." I swing him over my back and slam him on the ground.

"Touchè." He grabs my arm and throws me into the tree. "Ya know you're pretty strong?" He gets up and walks over to me.

"Thanks." I buckle his knees and he falls over. "You are as well." He kicks me in my legs and I land on top of him.

"Okay, love birds. I'll get the girl Calvin." Gene gets up and swings me over his back.

I pound on his back and kick my legs. "HELP!!" I scream.

Calvin was behind Gene, but in front of me from my position, smirking.

"Why are you smirking?" I ask annoyed.

"Why are you screaming?" He questions back.

"Do you really want me to answer that?" I roll my eyes.

"Maybe." He smiles.

"Well-" I start but he cuts me off.

"Sarcasm." He smirks.

A strand of hair falls on my face and he pushes it behind my ear.

"I could've done that my self." I say simply.

"I know." He shrugs. "But I wanted too." He smiles at me.

"Shut up will ya!" Gene demands.

"Jeez, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." I roll my eyes while Calvin was trying to hold in a laugh.

"This will be way easier if I knock you out. I've given you a privilege, would you like it taken away?" He says very annoyed.

"You're no fun." I pout.

I was in the nether in a cell lined with nether brick and iron bars.

"Well this is boring." I say walking around the cell.

"You're so annoying." The guard says.

"Good." I remark. "Why do Shadow Knights wear helmets?" I ask.

"What?"

"Are you ugly underneath it?" I say snickering.

"I am THIS close to hurting you!" He shouts.

"Sure you are." I smirk.

He opens the cell door and I squeeze his pressure point. He collapses and I gladly walk out the cell.

"Thanks, you just gave me my freedom. Aren't I smart?" I smirk.

"Grr.." He growls.

"You can't get up~ Try me." I laugh and walk away.

As I walk through the corridors, I see Calvin. He was talking to someone..

"Love you Calvin~" A female voice sings.

He sighs and walks away. Those words hurt me more than anything. I didn't even notice he was coming around the corner.

"What are you doing out of your cell!?" He asks surprised. "W-Wait....are you crying?" He asks with a softer tone.

I blink and feel the wet stains of tears on my cheeks. I quickly wipe them away and shake my head.

"Just the smoke from all this fire I guess." I answer.

He shakes his head. "You sure?" He asks softly.

"Y-Yes." I assure him. "Anyways, I'm getting out of here." I say pushing past him.

"Haven't you looked at yourself?" He asks.

"N-No. Why would I have?" I ask, my curious side getting the better of me.

"You're.....you've become a Shadow Knight.." He says.

"B-But...I couldn't be....you never did anything to me.." I say while looking at my feet.

"We've got a new way of turning people..remember when Gene said it was a mosquito when you came in after you got pinched by something?" He says looking down.

"Yes..." I say.

"It was a Shadow Knight serum..." He bites his lip.

I stare at my hands and look back up at him.

"I....No...." I fall on my knees and quietly sob. Calvin goes into his knees and pulls me into a hug.

"Who are you?" Calvin says to someone behind me.
