Rumor Has It *Nalu*

Chapter Eight

*Short chapter*

Lucy ran through the doors panting and wheezing, calling out for Virgo. After the second shout, her eyes rolled back and she fell to the ground. Worried, the staff ran to the unconscious blonde and checked her pulse, then forehead. Noticing a fever, a nurse took her to a room. On the way, Lucy kept mumbling Virgo's name every once and a while. Seeing as they know Virgo is there, they put her in the same room, hoping it'd make the blonde feel better when she woke up.

Meanwhile, Natsu sat with his 'friends' at lunch. He still wasn't use to them or the idea of having friends since the incident. Lucy changed his view of that after hanging around her for the time that he has. A couple months ago, he wouldn't of thought of talking to anyone other than Wendy but he talks to Lucy like he's known her forever. He noticed Erza looking at her phone with a worried expression. She excused herself and left the cafeteria to be alone when she answered the call. A doctor, who was a friend of Lucy's, explained that both Lucy and Virgo were in the hospital. Erza's eyes widened as she took in the information and felt her eyes watering. She thanked the doctor and said that her and a few friends will visit once school was over and hung up the phone. She decided to wait until school ended to tell the others as she didn't want them losing their focus and getting distracted. Putting her phone in her pocket, Erza walked back in the cafeteria with her friends looking at her with curiosity written all over their faces.

"Meet me at the school's gates when the last bell rings" and with that, the bell for their next class came and everyone went their seperate ways.

~Time skip~

Erza waited patiently under her umbrella at the gate for the last person to show up. Levy was talking to her teacher about tutoring Gajeel and said she'd be out a little later than everyone else. After waiting another five minutes, Levy came running out. Panting, she apologized for being late and noticed Erza had an urgent look on her face.

"Erza?"

Snapping out of it, the red head shook her head and cleared her throat. "A woman that's close to Lucy ended up in the hospital earlier" gasps were heard as Erza continued, "when Lucy got the call, she didn't hesitate to go and ended up running there. Apparently, she was barefoot and in her pajamas. It was raining heavily and she wasn't dressed for it. The doctor said she ran in shouting her friends name and passed out with a high fever"

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go see Lucy" Natsu said while walking in the direction of the hospital. Getting over their shock at the fact he actually talked, the others looked at each other and quickly caught up to him.

The rest of the way, they walked in silence, thinking about the cheerful blonde who fell sick and upset.
