Rumor Has It *Nalu*

Chapter Sixteen

*Honestly me with every new chapter. Oh, well I'm back. Finally.*

*Lucy's Pov*

The walk home was peaceful but I missed having someone to talk to. That someone being a certain pinkette who never seems to learn the definition of privacy. He was good company when he wasn't snooping through my things and eating all my food which I should probably do some shopping soon or I won't have anything before the week ends. 

After waving to the people on the boat near the apartment, I walked up the stairs to my floor. I opened the door only to be greeted by blue and pink (which he claims is salmon) and flew to the ground. 

"I get you missed me after my little disappearing act but was that part necessary?" was my only question as I sat up and rubbed my aching head. 

"Well, at least the cats didn't join in this time" Natsu joked as he saw the three felines slowly inch their way away from where they were standing as if they were actually planning on jumping on me like the two crazies did only moments earlier. 

"So how's your friend, Lucy?" Wendy asked as she got up off the floor and reached out to help Lucy back up with the help of Natsu.

"Hm? Oh! She's doing better. She woke up this morning and the nurse that was stationed there called me up to let me know so I kind of ran out of the house. She'll be able to come home in a week or so" 

"That's great! Meanwhile, Wendy and I were thinking about what we should do today and we decided to go the movies so go and get dressed. I mean, unless you want to go like that, you still look pretty good to me"

"Awh, is someone blushing? Let me change and we can go. Do you have a movie picked out?" 

Wendy spoke up this time as Natsu was mumbling and had a pout on his face "We decided it would be a surprise but the movie doesn't start until 2:30 so we were going to go and eat before we head over there"

"Alright, sounds good to me. I'll be out in a few minutes. After the movie, we need to go grocery shopping since someone *points to Natsu* keeps eating all my food" laughing, I headed towards my room to change and check my phone. I noticed I had a few missed calls from Natsu and then realized I had a couple more from Erza. Sighing, I called her and put her on speaker as I went to check my closet for something to wear. 

"Lucy? Why weren't you answering my calls?" I should've seen that coming. Shaking my head, I told her I was asleep and simply told her it was on silent. I pulled out a light pink blouse and a pair of ripped jeans then dug around for my converse to wear along with it. 

"Oh, then it's okay then. Are you free today? We haven't hung out in a while"

"Today? I'm going to the movies with Natsu and Wendy today but we definitely need to have a girls day soon"

"Natsu? Are you guys together yet? You were looking pretty cozy at the dance and don't pretend we didn't see the kiss that happened"

Spluttering, I gave up "We aren't necessarily a couple yet but I like where we're at. He's still my best friend but with the added cuddling and little kisses here and there"

"Well, we should have a double date soon! Jellal wouldn't mind, I'll talk to him about it and we can make plans for everything. So, what do you think? Think Natsu would be up for it?"

I laughed and thought that if there was food, Natsu would go anywhere. "I'm sure he would, Erza. Let me know when you were wanting to do it and we'll figure it out"

"Alright, let me know about girls day too! Anyway, I have to get off here now, Jellal wants to take me to the amusement park. We'll have to talk soon, bye Lucy!"

"Bye Erza!" 

"Luce? Are you done yet? I mean, I know girls take long but I didn't know it took this long" I heard Natsu mumble as he knocked impatiently on my door. I opened the door just as he was about to knock again and he looked up with a pout on his face.

"You took too long"

Laughing, I pat his chest as I walked past him to the living room. I saw Wendy playing around with Carla while Happy was preoccupied with Plue. Noticing I came into the room, the two scampered over to where I was standing and rubbed against my legs while purring to their hearts content. I bent down to pet their heads before standing back up and headed to the door. 

"Are you ready Wendy?" 

"Yeah, we were just waiting on you" I smiled sheepishly before letting her know we could go now. When I opened the door, Natsu flew down the hall and ran out before I was able to take another step.

Wendy and I looked at each other before laughing and following the cheery salmon-haired dork out of the apartment building.
