Lucy was laying on her bed and staring at her ceiling. She had called Levy 5 minutes prior, asking if she wanted to hang out seeing as it was Saturday and both girls had nothing to do.

Over the week, Lucy had tried to talk to Natsu, ignoring everyone's warnings about said boy, but he always looked at her then looked away. She didn't think it would be easy but she also didn't think it was going to be so hard. She also got closer to the group of friends she made on the first day. She found out that Gray and Juvia were dating, Erza had a crush on Jellal, Levy and Gajeel were super close and liked each other yet they haven't confessed to each other yet but with the way they were looking at one another, she was sure it was soon. She also learned that Mira was dating a boy named Laxus. When Lucy met him, she was a little intimidated but learned they got along just fine after he got rid of the usual cold look he would wear to scare others.

Levy ended up agreeing and was heading over to Lucy's. She had just finished a book and wanted to tell Lucy about it. Lucy was wanting to go to the pet store to get herself a little companion. Virgo is great and all but Lucy wouldn't want to cuddle her when she's upset and whatnot, even if Virgo offered to do so like she had many times prior.

After waiting 5 minutes, Levy finally showed up. Lucy ran to the door and answered it before Virgo could. She didn't really want Levy to know she was on her own just yet so she wanted to be away from the small apartment. Levy explained the book she read and recommended it to the blonde. In response, she nodded with a smile on her face. She told the short bluenette that she was writing a book, or at least attempting to because she wasn't really sure how it would turn out. Levy, the little bookworm that she is, jumped at the opportunity and begged to read it when she was finished, excited to read something new for a chance.

"It's not finished yet and I'm not sure if it would be good enough to have people actually read it" The blonde chuckled nervously while scratching the back of her neck. Truth is, she didn't want anyone reading it. It was something she wanted to keep to herself. She didn't think Levy would want to read it or even look remotely interested.

"Lu, I want to be the first to read it if that's alright. What's it about?" Levy asker with wide eyes.

"Well, I guess you can. It's about a girl who lost something close to her but it was something she wouldn't be able to get back. She wants to find someone who could help fill the spot that was missing" was the only reply she got.

After walking a bit longer, the two stopped in front of the pet store. They walked in and heard the little bell chime. In front of them, stood a girl that looked like Mira but with shorter hair. She looked up real quick to see who entered and smiled when she saw Levy.

"Hey Lisanna. How's your day been?" Levy asked the girl.

"It's was good. I'm waiting for my shift to be over. I have a date with Bickslow at 7" Lisanna replied with a smile and light blush. He was her boyfriend of 8 months and made her really happy.

"That's great Lis. Oh, this is Lucy by the way. She's new to the school. She's also crazy enough to try and talk to Natsu. She wants to see if he's as bad as everyone says" said the bluenette as she pointed to the now blushing blonde. Lucy waved a little and said a quiet hi. She was a little nervous around new people and what made it worse was what Levy decided to add into her introduction.

"Nice to meet you, Lucy. Good luck with Natsu by the way. Anyway, what can I help you guys with?" And with that, Lucy told Lisanna that she wanted to get a kitten. Luckily, there were a couple kittens in the little room with all the other cats. Leading the way, Lisanna showed her the many cats they had at the store. One particular kitten caught Lucy's eye. It looked to be a runt and was pure white with a strange orange nose. She immediately knew it was the one she wanted. After pointing him out to Lisanna, she went around the store and bought everything a cat would need and then some.

"So Lu, what're you going to name him?" Levy asked, curious of what the kitten would be called.

"I think I'll call him Plue. Yeah, Plus has a nice little ring to it" said girl replied. She giggled a little as the cat licked her hand. Her and Levy waved a goodbye to Lisanna and headed back to the apartment to drop Plue off and head out to the library, where they would spend the rest of the day reading and chatting over silly things that made no sense to anyone.

Sooner or later, Monday came back around which also meant school. School meant seeing more people and hearing more stupid rumors. All those stupid rumors lead to one thing, more so a person, Natsu Dragneel. After missing first period because she woke up late, Lucy barely made to her second class. Upon stumbling through the door, she noticed people staring at her. She flushed a little and lowered her head while walking to seat quickly. Natsu looked up for a moment then went back to his work. The teacher had assigned work on Friday and they were meant to continue on it today. After calling roll, everyone went back to what they were doing.

Natsu finished his assignment and looked out the window. He noticed that the blonde hadn't tried to talk to him today, not that he would've answered in the first place, it made him wonder whether she gave up or if something happened. He knew what being unhappy was even if he wasn't always like that. He could see it in her even if her friends couldn't. What he wanted to know, was what happened to her that would make her unhappy. He'd have to talk to her one day and he decided that he would try to do it before lunch. Hopefully, nobody would notice anything.
