~After School~

'Well that couldn't have been any worse' Lucy thought as she headed home.

*Flashback to 2nd period*

The boy next to her piqued her interest and she would've said something had he not been staring out the window the whole time.

She decided not to bother him and turned back to the teacher. After the teacher finished droning on about some nonsense topic, the bell finally rang.

~Lunch~

As Erza said, she found her and brought Lucy to her lunch table so she could meet her friends. Lucy was a little embarrassed but went ahead and sat down while everyone introduced themselves. She immediately saw Levy and was relieved that she knew someone besides Erza. Her and Levy sat and talked about books that they have read, haven't read, or are currently reading. Lucy managed to have a small conversation with everyone at the table and even saw Mira again.

*End of Flashback*

The rest of the day wasn't eventful and finally she was able to go home. While walking, she managed to bump into another person.

"Ah, I'm sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going" Lucy stated stated as she bowed a bit. She looked back up and realized it was Juvia, one of the girls she met at lunch.

"It's alright. Lucy, right?" Said girl nodded and smiled a bit. They didn't really talk at lunch. Juvia was always talking to a boy named Gray. Lucy found out that they lived near each other, Juvia lived a bit closer to the school though, so they walked home together.

They joked and laughed and told stories. Lucy had something on her mind so she wanted to ask Juvia about it since she's been going to the school longer.

"Hey, Juvia?" The bluenette looked at the blonde with a questionable look and nodded for her to continue. "I noticed that in my second hour, people gasped and whispered things about how unlucky I was to have to sit by Natsu. Why is that?"

"Oh..Natsu isn't a good person. Well, I'm not completely sure but that's what I've heard. Apparently he's had some bad past and that he's a monster or in some gang. He doesn't talk and nobody approaches him or asks him. I've always seen him alone and people don't mess with him. That's all I've known since I've gone there. Why?" Juvia answered a little hesitantly at first.

"How do you know if it's true if you haven't tried to talk to him? I think we should try. Maybe he isn't the bad guy everyone talks about?" The blonde had a little hope in her eyes. She wanted to help because she didn't think it was right for someone to be judged when others don't know the whole story.

"You can try, I don't think it's a good idea. Anyway, this is where we part. I'll see you tomorrow at lunch, Lucy " Juvia smiled and with a wave, she headed to her front door. The blonde waved back and walked the rest of the way home.

'Well, this is year gonna get interesting' and with that, the blonde entered her apartment ready for the day to end and hoping for a better tomorrow.
