As Lucy wandered throughout the hallways looking for her classes, she wondered what kind of people she would meet upon actually going to class. She hoped they wouldn't be too crazy or rude. She wanted to make friends, a lot if she was lucky. Something she hasn't been able to experience as she locked herself up in her room feeling, not having the willpower to do anything anymore. This was something new and she didn't want to mess up and have to go back to home schooling.

*30 minutes later*

The bell rang, signalling students to head to second period. On her way to  the class she had recently seen while figuring everything out, Lucy bumped into a small girl with light blue hair who was carrying a lot of books. Said girl dropped a few and when reaching to pick them up, she dropped more. Seeing her struggle, Lucy quickly jumped in with a small laugh and helped clean the mess she made happen.

"Oh, thank you! I'm Levy and I'm really sorry for bumping into you, I was thinking of one of the books I was reading" Levy said after adjusting the books into a better position with a blush of embarrassment making it's way on her face.

"You're welcome and it's quite alright, it seems we're both at fault because I wasn't completely watching where I was going. I'm Lucy, by the way" she nervously giggle and rubbed the back of her neck, also being embarrassed of the whole situation. She knew she was a bit clumsy but this is a whole new level and mentally face palmed.

"Nice to meet you, are you heading to Mr. Guildarts' class right now?" The blonde nodded at the question. "That's great, we have a class together at least. Well, come on Lu-chan, don't want to be late on your first day now" and with that along with a laugh, Levy dragged the poor blonde down the hallway and to class. Lucy helped and took a few of the books so the falling of the book tower wouldn't be repeated.

"Right well here we are. We have assigned seats so just go to the teacher and he'll give you a seat. See you later Lu-chan" The bluenette waved and quickly headed to her seat as the bell rang.

Students began to quickly fill the room and whispers could be heard about the pretty blonde standing up at the front of the room. They were curious as they hadn't seen her before and hoped she wasn't snobby or anything. Lucy's face flushed a little as she realized that a few people were staring at her. Her eyes swept the room and noticed that in the back of the room, a boy sat alone staring out of the window. She quickly realized that it was the same boy who was sitting under the cherry blossom tree this morning. Realizing she was still standing up at the front, she lightly shook her head and turned towards the teachers desk in hopes to get everyone's eyes off of her before her face turns the shade of a tomato.

Lucy quietly cleared her throat so he would notice her standing there. Luckily, he quickly looked up and gestured her to come closer to the front of the room. 'Mr. Guildarts' as Levy said that was who the man was, told her to introduce herself and then he would give her the assigned seat.

Everyone's eyes immediately went to her after the teacher had them quiet down so Lucy could speak. The one thing she didn't want, happened and a light red dusting made its way to her cheeks. Clearing her throat, she spoke a little quietly but people still heard her clearly. "Hello, my name's Lucy Heartfilia and it's my first day here" she said a little nervous as she never liked standing in front of a lot of people.

Seeing as that's all they were going to get, Mr. Guildarts told Lucy to go sit by Natsu. Not knowing who this 'Natsu' was, she quietly asked where he sat.

"Natsu's the one in the back corner by the window. It's the only available seat we have. Good luck with him" ending with that, he turned back to whatever he was reading.

Lucy heard people whispering to their friends about how unlucky the new girl was by having to sit by Natsu. She was confused and didn't know what was going on. She headed to her assigned seat, getting sympathetic looks on the way. It made her a little nervous because she didn't why they would need to do that. Once she sat down, she looked at the boy and noticed he was still staring out the window. Lucy stared at him a little longer before sighing softly and turning back to face the front of the class.

From the corner of his eyes, Natsu glanced at the girl for a few seconds before turning his focus back to the window.
