Married But...

Chapter - 4

Beep.... beep....
Beep.... beep....

      I woke up to stop the alarm clock. It was 9:00 A.M. It sounds funny that I set alarm at 9:00 , because it's Sunday and on Sunday I can spend the whole day on sleeping.

Within a hour I got ready, Nikki planned to meet all our close friends today and because it's Sunday she wanted no excuse from anyone. I wore my new dress which she have ordered me to wear. She ordered us to wear only white color dress and I know why, because it's her favorite colour. And to be honest, I'm not interested in today's plan only because I had to sacrifice my sleep.

I played my favorite song in phone and sat on my bed ,I don't know why I got the thoughts of Anand and I started smiling like an idiot. While I was lost in thoughts I heard my room door was opening I turned to look. It was Nikki with her big smile. She entered the room excitedly.

"You are looking beautiful! And this dress is awesome" she said.

"Thanks" I said and continued " and by the way you are looking gorgeous."

"Thank you" she replied.

She wore a beautiful white dress with full sleeves. She wore matching earrings and chain , a white stone ring on her hand.

Ankitha entered the room and said "Amma is calling you both for breakfast"

"Ok, we will come" I said.

"Um.. Akka (sister) can I ask you something" she said walking towards me.

"Sure" I said.

"Next week there is a birthday party of my friend" she said.

"So... you want me to convince amma to give you the permission to attend the party?" I asked.

"No. I want your permission to" she stopped.

" My permission? For what?" I questioned.

" I want to wear this white dress on that party " she said.

Nikki started laughing.

"Why do you want my dress? you already have so many dresses" I said.

"But this one is new and it's good.  However you will be getting married soon so  you will wear sarees after that" she said happily.

Nikki laughed again and I didn't understand how to react.

"Anu , Nikki come for the breakfast" mom called us from the hall.

"Nikki and Ankitha come let's go" I said.

"Ok " Nikki and Ankitha said in unison.

"Akka you are giving me this dress right?" She asked innocently.

"Yes my little sister" I said pinching her cheeks.

"Thank you" she thanked ,hugging me.

We settled on the dining table .

"Today I cooked idle, Nikki's favorite" amma said.

"Idle! Thank you so much aunty "  Nikki thanked happily.

"No Anu wear shoes, those shoes are looking better than heels " Nikki said.

"But these shoes are not comfortable" I said.

After arguing for 20 minutes I end up wearing heels. We stepped out of the house after discussing to choose my scarf , hand bag.

"Go safe and come back soon" amma said for 12th time.

"Ok amma" I said for the 12th time.

"And be careful" amma said.

"Amma, you already told this 12 times from morning" I said rolling my eyes.

Ankitha and Nikki laughed.

"Ok, bye " amma said.

"Bye Akka" Ankitha sang.

I waved bye to them.

We decided to meet our friends in the movie theater which is near Nikki's house. Nikki brought her scooty , I got onto the scooty but I doubt on her driving. I remember, whenever I sat on the scooty when Nikki was driving we always fell down loosing balance or met with an accident.

We reached the place in 30 minutes safely. I found a group of white dressed girls, one of them turned towards us .

"Hi , girls" deepthi shouted and jumped, out of excitement which took everyone's attention who were around. Three other girls waved us . We walked to the girls, greeted and hugged each other. After a long time i met my close friends Deepthi, Lavanya , Nisha , Latha but one was missing Ram,  the only boy in our group. He went to USA to visit his sister who gave birth to a baby recently.
                         
"Let's go to movie" Lavanya said.

"Ok" we all said in unison.

"Ok I'm going to take tickets" Nisha said.

" I will come with you Nisha" Lavanya said and they went to the ticket counter.

We discussed random topics. Nisha and Deepthi teased each other and I kept grinning.

"So , how is he" Deepthi asked.

"Um.. who? " I pretended as if I didn't understood.

"She is asking about Anand" Nikki grinned.

"Oh! He is.... fine" I said.

Wait , did I just said her that he is fine? But I don't know how he is.

Meanwhile Nisha and Lavanya came back with tickets and we went in to watch movie.

After finishing the movie we took few selfies but I don't think those were  few. And the most fun part was we went into scary house. It was Nikki who brought the tickets and it was she who first entered the scary house, acting brave and we followed her. No one has any idea why we were shouting but we were shouting loudly without any sense but we had one most important reason to shout and scream and that was we were in scary house. At the end of the scary house there was a person in the costume of a skeleton, he walked towards us we were already shouting loudly, Nikki and that person was facing each other. Nikki froze for few seconds and then she screamed so loudly that we stopped shouting and stared at her and that person instead of scaring us he closed his ears tightly with his hands and within in a minute he ran away. But Nikki continued to scream for few more seconds when Latha called her she realized that person was missing so she stopped screaming , looked back at us and dropped her head low out of embarrassment . We all burst out laughing, we laughed so much that we were loosing our balance to stand. I took support of the wall Deepthi sat on floor Latha and Lavanya fell down, laughing.

    
After having so much of fun Nikki and I bade goodbye to our friends . Nikki dropped me at home and she went back to her house.

I was sitting on the couch, it was evening mom offered me a cup of tea. We both enjoyed drinking tea and watching TV serials.

"How are your friends?" Amma asked.

" Good" I replied.

"Anu , I want to ask you something important" she said and took the TV remote to off the TV.

"And what is that" I asked.

" I want to confirm whether you like Anand or not before taking any step" she said.

" Amma  um.. I already told you " I said.

" You like him right?" She asked with a smile.

"  Um.. yes"  I blushed.
