Anu's POV
This guy.... Confuse me so much. Sometimes he ignores me sometimes he gives me so much attention. Sometimes he is rude and sometimes he is so sweet. I understand that he is fighting his battles inside and that he needs space and time for himself but all I wish is him to understand my love for him. I'm just waiting for the day when he confesses his feelings.
We chatted a lot today. I'm really happy by the way he talked to me. Recalling all that time we spent together I closed my eyes as soon as I settled comfortably on the bed.
I was woken up by the ringing of my phone. I slowly got up, rubbing my eyes. I smiled when I saw the name on my phone and before answering the call I noticed the time. It was 12:00 AM
"He-" she didn't let me complete.
"Happyyy birthdayyy Anuuu......" She sang.
"Thank you..... Nikki" I thanked her.
"Miss you darling..." Nikki said.
"Miss You too," I said.
When I saw Anand moving slowly on the bed I understood that I was talking loud and disturbing him. So I walking away from the bed and continued talking. That call soon turned to conference call when she added Ram, Lavi, and other friends. We talked and giggled for an hour and ended the call.
As soon as I turned back, I jerked back to see Anand standing right behind me
"Sorry, did I disturbed you?" I said taking a step back.
"Happy birthday Anu," he said moving forward and embracing me.
Well.... That was surprisingly pleasant.
"Thank you," I said hugging him back shyly.
My heartbeat became a bit louder and my cheeks heated.
"I didn't expect this," I said with a smile releasing him from a hug.
"What? Hug?" He teased with half-smile, raising a brow.
I rolled my eyes.
When we went back to bed he asked
"Anu"
"Hm," I said opening my eyes.
He turned towards me.
"Who were you talking to?" He asked.
"My friends... Anand..." I sang closing my eyes.
"Okay.." he said.
I opened my eyes to look at him "why are you asking that?"
"Um.. you were talking for so long and I never saw you talking on the phone for so long. So.."
"Hm.."
"Was it Nikki?" He asked looking at me.
Why is he asking all these? I mean, I don't have a problem with these questions not I have any problem in answering them but this was new, this was the first time he asked questions like this. Is he jealous or something? 'Stop overthinking Anu, it's nothing like that! Did you forget he doesn't love you and when he doesn't love you why will he be jealous? I thought
