Anu's POV

My heart started racing. What the hell is Ram doing? If Ram and Nikki had planned to help me out with this.... situation then why is Ram doing the exact opposite of help?

"Okay then.. I will dance with Anand" Lilly announced.

"And who told you that I'm going to dance with you?" Anand asked her. Okay.... That was Really.... rude.

If I was in her place, I would have already bursted into tears. I felt sorry for her. If things were different between us, then I would have definitely scolded him for talking to her so rudely.

"Do you have a better option?" She asked. Without a hint of hurt.

"Better? I have the best option" he said standing up and looking straight at me. Lilly looked shocked and confused.

What's happening? Ram please don't speak now.

"Wait! But I chose her first" Ram protested.

"Who are you to choose. Bro?" Anand asked with his signature sarcastic half smile.

Did Anand say bro? What's going on? Why do I sense that something is going to be wrong? Why do I have a feeling that these men are going to drink each others blood?

Anand continued "it's her choice. Let her choose"

Let me chose? Then I wanna choose to run away from this house or city if possible.

"Okay. Okay... Guys moves aside." Raj pushed the guys aside and made his way to me.

He extended his hand forward with a warm smile. "Will you dance with me?" Everyone including me looked at him in confusion.

"What-" Anand began to say but Raj interupted.

"Before you curse me or punch me like you did the other night, I want to say that.... Well I don't know what I wanted to say. Anyway. It's decided that she is going to dance with me"

"It doesn't make any sense" Ram said.

"He himself has no sense" Anand added.

"Anand, don't you get tired of insulting me?" He turned towards me "will you dance with me? Clearly there is no better person here than me"

Even though I don't agree with what he said, I somehow understood that he was trying to help me. so, I agreed to it.

"Excellent!" Anand clench his teeth.

We danced for just a few minutes after which we sat on the chairs on the other side of the room. In the corner of the room I saw Anand dancing with Lilly. Only then I realized how he might have felt seeing me close to someone else.

Raj cleared his throat to get my attention.
"He used to be different" he said.

"Anand?"

"Yes. He used to be gentle. He used to think twice before passing a rude comment but he changed so much after... You know"

"He told me" I said.

"But he didn't tell you that he loves you. Did he?"

Is it ok to discuss it with him? How do I even talk about it to a person whom I met just today?

"No he-. No" I said.

"I don't know when that idiot is going to gather the courage to tell you but I wanted you to know that he loves you"

That news suddenly made my heart warm.

"Ha-how do you know?" I asked.

"I know everything about him. We are best friends............." Then he began to tell me so many things about him. How he used to be before and after that accident, how he blamed himself for it and how he is now, when I came into his life. When he told me who afraid and worried Anand was on that night when we had a fight, I couldn't understand that I was feeling I had a mixture of feelings on the moment, Joy sad, happy and angry at the same time.
