Chapter 37

Anu's POV

I was brought back from thoughts by the the knock on the door. I sighed in relief when I heard him calling me. I immediately got down from couch and opened the door. He looked uneasy and dull. When he walked into the house past me I did rehearsal in my head about how I'm going to apologize him and explain him that I didn't mean it and how I want us to move on from his past. By the time I lock the door and look back, he was gone into our room.

As soon as I step into our room he turned back to look at me. Well, he didn't exactly look at me he avoided eye contact with me.

"Anand...." I started to say what I have thought to.

"I.. I don't think this is the right time to talk" he said getting up from the bed and looking at the watch.

It was 1:03AM. I know he was exhausted with all that had happened but I didn't want to delay it. I just wanted to talk and clear it off.

"Listen..." I said slowly.

"Anu please" he sat on the bed again. Shifting uncomfortabely.

"But"

"What? But what Anu?" He shouted.

"I..." why did he shout? I was trying to clear it that I don't want divorce and that I didn't mean it. Any if it.

"You?" He questioned.

"Please just.... Let's talk about it in the morning" he said standing up again.

"But I-"

"You? What?" He shouted.

I forgot everything I had thought to say.

"You. Want divorce?" He screamed pointing towards me.

I was shocked by the way he was behaving.

My mouth hung open.  A chill ran through my spine. What's happening? Why is he so angry?

"I..." My Mouth betrayed me.  tears rolled down my eyes.

"I'm so sorry to say but I'm not going to do that! I'm not going to leave you!" He yelled moving out of the room.

A wave of relief went through me. A part of me was happy with what he had just said but another part of me was scared of his anger. I was really happy because he didn't want to let me go. Though he screamed at me, the words from his mouth gave me the confidence. I followed him to the hall.

"Anand..." I called him as softly as I can.

He held his head with both his hands. "God!!"

"Please. Just listened to me." I said taking a step forward and he immediately took a step back. "I just want to clarify. Let me explain-"

He sighed. "You know what? You never listen to me and that makes me annoyed"

"I know...." I said.

"You know?" He said raising his eyebrows. God!He is irritated. I decided to explain to him tomorrow as he said.

"I think. I think you need time. To... Get over it" he said moving forward.
