Anu's pov

In the middle of the night, I woke up feeling thirsty. When I looked at Ananda I was shocked to see him crying. I instantly sat up looking at him in horror.

It took a minute for me to believe he was actually crying.

"Look I know you don't like sharing anything with me but I'm not going to let you escape this time," I told him.

He just stared at me with his tears filled red eyes not even uttering a word. It was really hurting to see him crying. I desperately wanted to know the reason behind it and if possible I wanted to solve it too.

"Um. I'm just having a headache" he said clearing his throat.

"And you are crying for that?" I question him with confusion.

"Hmm. Yeah"

"Who cries for having headache," I asked narrowing my eyes.

"As you can see... I do" he said raising an eyebrow and managing a smiling.

I stared at him trying to understand if he was saying the truth or not. He stared back for a minute and closed his eyes.

"Go back to sleep Anu.... Your staring is not helping me" he said. Eyes closed

But I wanted to help him out.

"Do you want medicine or something"

"No"

"Tea?"

"No"

"Water?"

He gave me a look narrowing his eyes and instantly I understood I was irritating him. I remained silent watching him while he closed his eyes.

I tried to go back to sleep but I could not.

I struggled for ten more minutes shifting my position but it was useless. I turned back to face him, he was sleeping calmly, or at least that's what I thought. He looked so handsome in dim light. The view was so beautiful that I could not help but stare and smile.

After a few minutes, I observed his eyebrows began to furrow, and before I could understand he slowly opened his eyes. He caught me staring at him and he quickly shut his eyes.

My face turned red out of embarrassment.

What will he think about me? He just started being nice to me. I thought.

When I saw him bringing his palm to his head and started rubbing. I leaned forward and began to press his head and gave him a massage with my right hand. He was startled with my touch and looked at me with some kind of expression I never saw on his face. Then he smiled closing his eyes. That made me smile.

The next morning I made breakfast ready for him and he silently ate. I was really concerned about the way he looked. He looked pale and depressed.

"Anand," I called him softly.

"Hmm" was his reply.

"How are you feeling? You don't look good"

He looked at me and smiled "I'm fine."

I noticed his eyes got red.

"I don't think so," I said leaning forward, placing my hand on his forehead to check his temperature.

He jerked back just after I touched his forehead

"You have a fever!" I almost shouted.

"No!"

"Yes!"

He rolled his eyes. "I'm fine Anu," he said and stood up to leave for office.

"Where are you going? Stay at home and rest!" I said with concern but It sounded like an order.

He looked at me pulling an eyebrow up.

"Why don't you just take a leave" I said. This time making sure my voice was polite

"Because staying at home makes me feel more sick" he said.

"What nonsense! I'm staying at home daily and I don't feel sick" I said with irritation.

"You can't be sick Anu"

"And why is that so?"

"Because microbes are scared of you like I do" he tried to distract me.

"So you are scared of me," I said folding my hands and narrowing my eyes.

"Yup! Bye," he said giving me a smile like a naughty kid.

"Seriously Anand?"

He waved his hand without looking back at me. I shook my head in disappointment

In the afternoon I called him to make sure he was fine.  I let out a sigh of relief after finding he was ok. Later Nikki and I chatted about random stuff most of which are just useless topics of course. Then she inquired about Anand and how things between us were going. I assured her that everything was going well.

My amazing evening was disturbed by a knock on the door. Keeping an irritated look I went to open the door. It was him. Anand with a drained look on his face. He looked as if a vampire just sucked all his blood.

"Anand!" I almost shouted with shocked eyes.

Like I was a non-living thing he ignored me and went straight to the room throwing himself on the bed.
