Married But...

chapter -9

I could barely speak anything " ho.. how is she?" I enquired worriedly.

" Don't worry Anu, she is fine. She tried to hang herself but one of her friends in the hostel saw her through keyhole and somehow saved her.

"Oh ! Thank God!" I fell on the bed. Bad Memories clouded my head. Was he really serious about his warning? Why did he comeback after these many days? Do he really wanted money or something else?

"Anu... are you ok? " Nikki shaked me to bring me back.

"Yeah. Let's meet lavi!"

We reached her hostel within 20 minutes. It took a little time to reach her room as it was on 3rd floor and the only way to reach it is through the stairs . When we finally reached her room Nikki knocked the door. instead of lavi someone else opened the door. We looked confusingly at each other and then looked into the room, there was a crowd of girls all of them were of nearly same age. I think they were Lavi's friends.

"Lavi? " Nikki asked.

" She is inside, please come in" she said.

We both went in our eyes searched for her in every corner of the room . We found her sitting on the bed , we quickly ran to her and Nikki gave a tight hug to her . Even I wanted to but something stopped me.

"Anu?" Lavi said.

"Hm.. " I remained standing.

She pulled me down and gave a tight hug I couldn't stop myself. I cried. We cried.

"Why did you do that?" I asked, crying.

"Because there was no other option" she said.

I caught her both hands in my hands and said " killing yourself is not an option . Promise us . Promise that you won't repeat this again" I said.

"I promise" she said with a low voice.

"Lavi let's go out na . I'm dying for panipuri" she tried to make lavi smile.

Lavi smiled and said "let's go"

We three went out and decided to have panipuri where we use to go regularly. Lavi was feeling better. I thought to ask about anil after having panipuri. Lavi and I finished eating but Nikki's stomach was still demanding more. Like always she continued eating and we both settled on chairs

I decided to ask her without making her sad but I know it's not possible.

"Lavi" I said.

"Umm.. "

" Lavi do you have any idea from where we can get all the pictures back from him?"

"I don't . I don't know anything. All I know is he is going to spoil my life" she said with low voice.

"Lavi please. Think, you know him better than anyone else. I'm sure there will be something that can help us" I said.

She seemed to be lost in thoughts .

"Anu , as far as I know him he don't have any personal accounts like email or any social network nothing. But he always have his phone with him and he never shared his phone and it's password with anyone." She continued " Anu you know he had a friend Nikkil . He is a good person,when I was in a relationship with Anil he told me many times that Anil is cheating on me but I dint believe it. He knows everything about Anil and maybe he can help us"

"Want to have anything else?? " Nikki asked.

"No" lavi said.

"Ok then I will eat a plate of masala puri " Nikki said happily.

We laughed.

"Lavi Do you have Nikkil's number?" I asked.

" I have but I'm not sure that he still uses this number or not."

" Let's give it a try" I smiled.

We dropped lavi and went back to home Nikki and I decided to call him and luckily he still uses the same number. We requested him to meet us and he agreed. We could not waste even a minute so we decided to meet him immediately .

" I can understand" He said and continued " Anil and me are roommates so I know him better. I'm sure whatever photos you are talking about are only in his phone ."

" How do you know?" Nikki asked him.

" Because we both share his laptop. More than him I use it , I know what all information he has in it . So his phone is the only thing which we should get to overcome this problem."

" But he might have some personal account or CD's or something to save those photos." I said.

" No chance. He don't have any account and if he saved them in anything I would have known." He said.

" Who don't have social accounts these days?" Nikki asked.

" He don't. He is too lazy to manage them and remember their passwords. Whenever he needs to send any mails he use my account."

We both remained silent.

" Don't worry I will try my best to help you girls"

" Can you. Can you delete those photos from his phone? It will be easy for you" I said.

" Umm.. not that easy his phone has secured with password" he said.

"And what if we know the password?" Nikki said.

" Please Nikkil you are the only person to help us. Can you find the password somehow and delete them. "

" It isn't that easy Anitha. He is smart but trust me I will try my best."he said.

That night was sad and scary for three of us .

I got a message from Nikkil at 12 that somehow he got the password. He told me that he will try to delete those photos as soon as possible. I thanked him a thousand times.

I woke up early in the morning quickly got ready and stepped out of the house.

" Anu where are you going without having breakfast?" Amma shouted but I ignored.

When Nikki and I met we called Nikkil, he informed us that he couldn't get a chance to delete the photos but anil got some urgent work and his phone got switched off because of less battery so he left his phone on charging and went out. Listening that our faces lit up.

"So you can delete it easily" I said.

"No"

" Why?" We said in unison.

" I had to go with anil . I tried hard but I couldn't stay back I'm sorry" he said and continued " but you can go do that. You know the password and no one is there in house . It takes atleast 2 hours for us to go back."

We looked at each others faces " you are right. Can you please send me the address?"
