Anand's pov

When she slipped in the water, my heart stopped for a moment. I was really worried about her. I walked in her direction hoping that she would not cry, seeing her crying has always been painful for me. But I stopped just when I saw her burst into laughter. That was... Unexpected. She was laughing looking at me and around her. she splashing water here and there like a kid in a pool. It was such a beautiful moment I couldn't take my eyes off her. I wanted to capture that moment forever in my eyes as well as on my phone so I took some good pictures of her.

When she noticed me she said "Stop," in-between her laughs "I will look ugly"

"That's impossible, " I said. Only I knew how beautiful she was looking.

"Come out now. Your clothes are wet" I said, sliding my phone back into my pocket.

As soon as I saw few people looking at her I moved forward to bring her out but she already started standing just when she noticed them. I went on and helped her by holding her arm.

I had a silent debate with myself whether to give her my jacket or not, as her clothes got wet maybe she would get cold or uncomfortable, I slipped my jacket off me pushing the thoughts aside, I placed it around her. Judging by her expression she was happy to have it.
She was smiling pleasantly but soon that turned into a frown when I said

"Let's go," I said holding her hand in mine.

"No.." She protested instantly.

"It's getting late Anu," I said.

She looked at my watch and cried "it's just 4 o'clock."

She was so happy there that I felt a bit of guilt to take her back to our boring home.

"Okay, " I said looking around "10 more minutes"

She instantly pouted which made me laugh.

"Okay, half an hour," I said looking at her.

She happily walking swinging her hands in air which looked like kind of a funny dance. I grinned, walking behind her observing her new walking style.

She might have sensed it because she asked "what happened?" Without looking back.

"Nothing" a laugh came out before I could stop.

She turned back to look at me. She stopped walking but still swinging her hands in the air. I couldn't stop myself from teasing her anymore.

"This... Dance or walking"  I tried hard to stop laughing "where did you lead it from? Any special training or something?"

She was still swinging her hands while thinking about what I had just said. She stopped her hands in the air as soon as she understood what I was saying, she quickly stood in attention position which made me laugh more.

We sat down on the grass bed looking at the hills in front of us. Everything was peaceful there, the air, the sound of water the chirping of birds the butterflies which Anu tried catching and Anu. The peaceful smile on her face was soothing.

We giggled we laughed at each other. We talked about different things, when the topic got to her college life she talked none stop. She told me about a guy called Ram how he used to support her always and why he didn't attend our wedding.

After a few minutes, she fell silent but I still kept looking at her, I noticed as her expressions changed. She looked sad again.

"What happened?" I asked even though I know the answer.
