Battle Of The Weeping Angels

Chapter 3

Dan took one look at his surroundings, 'Shit.' All around him were weeping angels staring at him, menacingly. Afraid he was going to blink, Dan shoved his head onto ground, squeezed his eyes shut and covered his head with his hands. Bad move. Wondering if they had gone away, Dan peeked upwards only finding, to his horror, that all of them were closer to him with horrible scowls rather than the emotionless faces before. He turned and ran.

'Dan!' Phil watched absolute horror as his closest friend fell out of the TARDIS. 'Doctor you have to save him!'
'Well I kind of need to save Clara as well... But we can save Dan after!'
'Yeah but that could take forever! And with Dan's amount of near-death experiences, he will be dead in minutes!' The Doctor saw the desperation in Phil's eyes but before he could think of a way to save them both, Phil carried on.
'How many people care for Clara as well as you?'
'Her friends and family of course. Just like Dan,' he added, knowing full well where this was going.
'Oh no. Dan is loved by far more people than just his friends and family. Over 5 MILLION people love him for who he is and what he does. No offense to Clara, but only a small number of people are going to be devastated if she dies but if Dan dies, the world is going to be crushed.' The Doctor thought about this.
'I... I just can't leave Clara behind like this.'
'Let's just put it this way: Clara is going to survive for much longer than Dan will because I am sure that you have told her all about the angels but she will also have the knowledge of the past aliens you two have probably fought. But Dan, on the other hand, knows nothing apart from the fact you shouldn't blink and SOMEHOW does not have past alien fights to relate to.' The Doctor thought some more about how this situation could work.
'Fine. We will look for Dan first BUT if we don't find him in the next 3-4 days then we go look for Clara, OK?'
'Ace, but we will find Dan before those 3-4 days are up, right? Try using your tracky thing.'
'On it.' He typed Dan's name in to the computer, 'What in the world... what?'
'Oh no. What's happened? Is Dan dead?'
'No it's just... The scanner is not working. It's picking up Dan everywhere. According to this, Dan is in 53, 54 places! Do you happen to have any other mode of transport on you, besides the TARDIS?'
'No, why?'
'Because we have got a lot of places to travel to.'
