Based on a true story. A movie was made out of the case of a women that has gone missing for seven years. I am going to give my report/what it was about on this story.
A teenager, Joy H. opened the door to a man about her age. The man told her his name was Nick and he needed someone's help finding his lost dog. Here's the thing, Joy's mother had always told her to be nice to others and Joy offered Nick her help to find his lost dog. When Nick was in front of his house he had captured Joy and locked her in his shed. The sick bastard had a lock code that was input by the door, a number code. Nick had turned his shed into a little home with cabinets, a toilet, bed, sink, small T.V, bathtub,table, two yellow metal open and close chairs, and a wardrobe. Nick would also provide Joy with food, vitamins, medicine(aka pills), clothing, bed sheets, pots and pans, silverware, heat/air conditioning, and the only interior design, a rug. Almost every night, around 8 or 9 p.m Nick would rape Joy and all she could do is cry when he left. The shed also had a small window to allow light through, but on the ceiling. Joy could've gotten out by doing many things that she had in that room,but she didn't try very many strategies. Joy tried killing Nick one night by bashing the glass toilet cover across his head,but that didn't work and Nick had tightly grabbed her by the wrist,which caused her to have problems with that. One night when Nick came in the small shed, Joy told Nick she was pregnant.
A/N:I didn't know how Nick reacted,but based on this sicko, I'm guessing he was all, " Oh shit!"
All he could do was provide pain killers, and extra food. When Joy's baby came along, Nick didn't take Joy to the hospital and cut the umbilical cord himself. Joy had a boy and she named him Jack. Jack was breast fed until he was five, because of how poorly Nick was treating Joy with food and vitamins. Jack had long brown hair that went down to his shoulder blades, brown eyes that shown almost as hazel when sunlight shined upon them, and very thin like his mother.

Every morning Jack and Joy had done track stretch routines. Their days were just watching T.V, possibly draw if they has paper and crayons,read, and talk to each other. Jack's bedtime was the time Nick came in to rape Joy. Nick had never seen Jack because Joy would always put Jack to sleep in the wardrobe with a made bed. When Nick left for the night, Joy would carry her sleeping baby boy out of the wardrobe and into the bed with her. Jack's fifth birthday came and Jack had told his mother if they could make a cake,so they did. The cake was done,but Jack was disappointed to see that there was no candle. He started to throw a fit and his mother told him they didn't have candles and Jack started to get highly upset. Nick came in on the night of Jack's birthday and Joy told Nick that Jack's birthday was today. The following morning Jack woke up and saw a remote controlled car on their small table. He was in awe and asked his mom if that was for him and Joy calmly said yes. Later, Christmas had came along and all Jack and Joy did was make a cake, eat with some milk, and saved the egg shells to put through a plastic like string. A few months passed by and Joy had a plan after she got extremely ill because she didn't have anymore vitamins to take. The plan was to make Jack look and feel like he was sick by putting covers over him, making his head hot with a wet-well heated towel, and placing some of her literal vomit in his hair. Nick came in and Joy told him about Jack being sick. All he did was say that he would provide Jack with pain killers and left on a bad note. The very next day Joy had came up with another plan. The plan was to roll Jack up in the rug and he'd have to stay stiff.Joy would tell Nick Jack had died from his horrible sickness from yesterday and cry desperately. Joy would tell Nick to bring him to a nice place to burry Jack, a place with trees.Jack was told when he is in the trunk of Nick's pickup, he would have to start unrolling himself out of the carpet,jump out once the car stopped, and ask the closest person around for help. The time came and the plan was working out so well, Jack was already in the back of the pickup rolling out the rug. Jack was unrolled from the rug and wasn't getting out by how astonished he was to actually see the real world. Nick had stopped and Jack jumped out of the pickup,but Nick came out to see what it was. Jack started to run when Nick was right behind him and was holding him. Jack saw a man with a pitbull coming by and he started to scream for help. The man had asked Nick if this was his kid and he said yes,but Jack continued to scream help and the man knew what was happening. So Nick dropped Jack, left him with the guy and the pitbull, and quickly driving away knowing that the man would call the cops. Eventually that man did call the cops and Jack was taken with them. They had interrogated Jack for hours and got the information. Jack and his mom were living in a shed together, there's a man named Nick, his house was 3 stop signs down from where they picked him up and that was when one of the police stopped interrogating and knew where his mother was. They had arrived at Nick's place, Nick got arrested,Jack was reunited with his mother, and the next day they were at the hospital. Joy received pills for her wrist and Jack with sunglasses and a paper mask to protect him from bacteria he hasn't come in contact with. The doctor did tell Joy that her and Jack's bodies would take a while to adjust to light. Back in the shed Joy had told Jack about his grandma and grandpa and the house she lived in with a hammock in the back porch. Joy's parents picked Jack and her up from the hospital and went home, Joy's place and Jack's new home. Joy later finds out while she was gone missing her parents had divorced and her mother was remarried to a man named Leo. Jack gradually adjusts to being social with others while news reporters get the Joy's story. Jack had asked Joy if he could visit "room" again and she said patiently said yes. Cops came along to show both of them the evidence that they were living in the shed for 7yrs. Afterwards, Jack gets his hair cut, but tells his grandma before anything happens,that's where his strong is like Samson. Jack narrates towards the end of the movie that he and his mom don't know what his favorite thing to do or eat are, so they try everything. He also asks his mom if they were going to move again and Joy replies by saying that the place they are in now is where they are going to live. In the end Jack and Joy's life are safe,sound,and flourishing as they experience what life has for them.
End Note Thank you for reading! This was a report I did do on a true story. I thought I needed more sad stories so I did this one. I watched this movie last night and that's when it hit me that this would make a great chapter to this book. You guys are awesome 😎🤓😄❤️💛💚💙💜💖‼️
