Ashton

Terra woke up startled by her alarm clock beeping at 4:30 a.m. She took her pill and remembered she didn't have school.

" Saturday is here!"

Terra plopped back in her bed, drowsy, and slept for an hour and a half more. It was 5:30 a.m. and Terra looked out of her window.

"It's gray and cold, just the way I like it."

She put on a black leather jacket, jeans, and boots and headed out her house. Terra walked down many neighborhoods for her morning walk, enjoying the chilly breeze flowing through her hair. She pulled out her phone and ear buds and started listening to music. Ten minutes into her music and suddenly Terra fell to the ground when she bumped into something warm. She looked up to see who or what it was. It was a guy with brown hair a side bang style and his muscles that looked like they were going to rip through his shirt and also looked like he was in his early 20's. He lended a hand to Terra, but before she accepted she took out her earbuds.

"I'm so sorry," Terra said while taking the guys hand.

"No I wasn't paying attention."

Terra looked at the guy and said, "Thank you, and have a good morning."

When Terra started to walk the guy grabbed her by the hand and pulled her towards him.

"What are you doing?"

"I remember you, but do you remember me?"

"No."

"I'm Ashton, from Raysight High School."

"Still, no."

"The one guy who always answered Science questions when no one else did, the guy who went up to the board in math whenever he found a short cut to a problem."

"Umm."

"The nerdy looking dude who always got pushed around by douchebags who wanted attention from girls. The guy you found sitting against the wall during prom and took me in when no one else did."

"Oh my goodness, Ashton!"

Terra hugged Ashton remembering that night and the friendship they had together.

"You're so bulky, and no offense, but sexier."

"None taken, but yes people change. And you, you look so gorgeous, not that you never did;I always adored you.You get what I'm trying to say, right?"

With a giggle and a grin Terra replied, "Yes I do."

And with that conversation Terra and Ashton walked together for the rest of the morning.
