I turned to see that Zayn was with Liam and Louis and Niall. "What are you doing here?" I asked, but my smile not faltering. "You should be with Perrie. Doing the exact same thing we're doing."
My hand found home in Harry's hand and we didn't let go even when we broke into a run. We only had a limited time left before the plane took off. We all ran past the guards and through the airport and to the airplane. Perrie was still there, of course with a smile so radiant it lit up the entire room. Zayn was definitely lucky. Just about as lucky as Perrie.
ZAYN'S P.O.V.
"Zayn," Perrie stood up when she saw us enter. She started to shake her head. "Zayn, I--"
"Perrie, wait," I stopped her before she made any rash decisions. "Please hear us out first. These past few weeks have been absolute torture from the second you walked out that door up to this very moment. But this girl--" I held Kloe by her shoulder and placed her by my side--"This girl right here made every minute of this journey back to you worthwhile and I think she's got something to tell you."
I had full confidence in her. She had nothing to worry about because she'd already done everything: she dealt with the paps more than once, she had an interview alone, she spoke to Harry Magee and faced her biggest fears. All she had to do was to tell Perrie that the kiss meant nothing to her. This would've been the easiest thing in the world for someone who had the whole world in her fingertips.
"I know that you probably hate me right now because of...well," Kloe sighed before continuing, "I made out with your boyfriend. But I just wanted you to know that it meant something to me."
My eyebrows furrowed as I turned to face Kloe quizzically. What did she say?
"What?" Perrie asked, obviously just as confused as I was.
"For Zayn," Kloe went on, pursing her lips, "The kiss probably meant absolutely nothing but to me, it was amazing. And that's how much Zayn wants to be with you. I, along with 10 million other girls in the world, was in love with Zayn Malik, member of the world's biggest boyband. But you're in love with Zayn, the normal guy. I'm willing to let go of someone that I really love for someone that he really loves."
Kloe turned to me, smiling hopefully. That made me think that she'd been waiting to get that put of her chest and I was glad she did. What she said was a whole lot better than what I forced her to say. The truth, as cheesy as it was, set both of us free and I was ecstatic to be out of that cage after so long.
By my side, Niall came in with his guitar strapped around his shoulder and his hand positioned on a fret. It was time. I let go of Kloe and she held onto Harry's hand once again to watch me make a fool of myself singing a song that I wrote completely on my own. I clear my throat before starting. "Okay, so, this is a song that's way past its deadline but I'll sing it anyway." "It's called Perrie," I said with a smile and staring right at her.
The intro began and I pulled pit a piece of paper from my pocket to read the lyrics.
"Sitting by myself, waiting by the bedroom door
Expecting you to walk in like you did before
But I know you never will, I know you never will.
"I remember the moments we spent together
How I'm the one who ruined our forever
But I'm waiting still, I'm waiting still.
"I'm done waiting now.
"One month or 28 days or so many hours
I've been I've been missing you so badly.
For one month and seventeen hours and 32 seconds,
