‘The boys were acting a bit weird, don’t you think? Especially Liam,’ Skylar said, pulling a hard-thinking face, as she opened her apartment. ‘Well, I don’t know, maybe something happened and he got a bit emotional?’ I said, shrugging my shoulders. ‘Like, he was being all dramatic and he did look in our direction much… Maybe his girlfriend was in the audience, and she was damn close to us too! Maybe it’s the girl from the twitcam, that friend, also named Demi. He did say he kinda liked someone. Oh wow, my mind is blown,’ she rambled on as she face-planted on the couch. I felt my stomach turn. ‘Sweetheart, you’re acting a bit freaky, it’s probably because you finally saw them, but go to bed and dream about it. I have to go to Daniel,’ I said, quickly kissing her cheek and leaving. I will tell her about the boys later, just not right now. I think she might die from a heart attack…
‘Hey baby, I’m back,’ I said, as I entered. He didn’t answer as he just glared at my shirt. The Niall-shirt I was wearing. ‘Do you really need to wear that?’ he asked, crossing his arms over his chest. ‘I just liked it, okay? Wait, this isn’t okay! Why should I defend myself? Don’t you trust me?! Niall is just a friend, is something wrong with that?!’ ‘Is there something wrong with that?! Of course there is! You give that boy more attention than you give me. Maybe he is more than just a friend!’ he yelled. Out of anger I throw my bag away. ‘You just don’t get it, do you? I sit here alone, for days, waiting for you to come home from wherever the f*ck you have been! And when you’re back, you just drink and hit me afterwards. I bet you drank tonight!’ He grabbed me by my throat and pinned me against the wall. ‘You won’t get away with this, slut!’ he hissed. He threw me to the ground and before I could stand up, he kicked me several times. ‘Don’t you dare talk to me like that! After all I’ve done for you! Ungrateful b*tch!’ I cover my face as I take in all the blows to my stomach. Liam, oh how I wish you were here…

I gasped for air and coughed out some blood on the laminate floor. Daniel was probably out. I slowly pushed myself up to my feet, and on wobbly feet I made my way to the bathroom. Everything hurt so much. I took a deep breath before I was determined I had to see what he did to me. I pulled of my clothes and started to cry at the sight. My entire body was covered in black and blue bruises. Luckily my face survived, because I covered it, but the rest could’ve been from a horror movie. I turned on the shower and got in, letting the warm water cascade down my painful body, as I silently cried. My tears kept on falling, just like the water from the shower. How could he do this to me? I put on my robe as I returned to the living-room. I heard my phone beep and saw I received a text:
Hey Demz, u liked the gig? Mind if i drop by in 30? Love Liam.
I had a mini heart attack as I looked at the time he sent it, 4 minutes ago, which left me –luckily- enough time to get ready. I started with the bruises on my neck from where he had pinned me against the wall, the rest I could hide with clothes. ‘He was being all dramatic and he did look in our direction much,’ I heard Skylar say in my head, ‘maybe his girlfriend was in the audience. The one from the twitcam, also named Demi.’ What if Liam actually liked me? No way. He could get any girl he wanted. The bruise was all covered up and I sighed in relief. No one can know. Liam will try to beat Daniel up, but he will lose. I don’t want him to get hurt. I grabbed some skinny jeans and a long-sleeved Avril Lavigne shirt. I hissed in pain as I put on the clothes, since it all hurt so bad, but I don’t have any loose clothes so this will have to do. Not too much later, there’s a knock on the door. Just in time. I opened the door with a fake smile plastered on my face. ‘Hi Liam,’ I said, letting him inside. ‘Hey, no Daniel?’ he said, looking around. ‘Nope, you’re safe,’ I joked, but it did hurt a lot inside. ‘How are you?’ I said, carefully sitting down on the couch. ‘Me? Why?’ ‘Li, you were crying yesterday, something was clearly wrong.’ ‘Nah, I just got a little emotional of the song, but the fans are freaking out, they’re so worried,’ he sighed. ‘Yeah, so was I.’ ‘You were?’ he asked, his eyes lighting up as a kid on Christmas. ‘Of course, Li, I consider you as a friend now, I want you to be happy.’ ‘I want you to be happy too,’ he replied, and I turned away from him. I just can’t bear to hear that. I’m not cut out to be happy. Not after all that’s happened. I have a boyfriend who beats me up, I ran away from my psycho father and my mother’s gone. ‘What’s wrong? Did I say something wrong?’ he asked, worriedly. I shook my head. ‘It’s nothing.’ ‘I just want to see you smile.’ ‘Maybe another time you’ll get a real smile, just not right now..’ I said, quietly. ‘But I can make you smile!’ he smirked. He scooted closer and started to tickle me. ‘Liam stop! I can’t breathe!’ I screamed, trying to squirm out of his tight grip. It hurt like hell too, but he couldn’t know that. My shirt went up, just a little, but enough for him to see my bruise. I pulled it down instantly, but he pulled it back up. His eyes widened as he saw how bad the bruise actually was. ‘W-what happened to your body?!’ ‘Oh that? Well, eh…’ I started, searching for some excuse, ‘I bruise really fast and I’m an idiot. I bumped into the kitchen drawer while I was cooking.’ I didn’t know if he believed me, but he didn’t respond. ‘But eh, you should really go, my boyfriend will be home any minute and you saw how sensitive he is. See you later, bye.’ I said, pushing him towards the door. ‘No, I’m not going! Not until you tell me what’s going on!’ Oh crap.
