It felt so good in my father’s arms. It felt like everything would be alright again… I get to stay in L.A. with my dad, the boys and my two best friends. After a while my dad released me and stood up. ‘We’d better tell them and start arranging things,’ he said, smiling. I nodded and followed him to the living room. We stopped in front of the group, scattered over the various couches, Skylar had now joined them and I was glad that I could tell them all together and celebrate this all together. ‘First of all, I want to thank you all for everything you’ve done for me. Mary, Peter, I love you both very much, but my dad and I decided to stay here.’ Tears stung in my eyes. ‘We understand,’ Peter spoke, ‘whatever makes you happy darling.’ Mary agreed with him and hugged me tightly. ‘I will miss you both so much, but promise me we’ll keep in contact?’ ‘Of course, sweetheart. We will. We might come back a few times to visit L.A.,’ she joked. When they were done, I focused on the others. When they knew the emotional moment was over, they all stormed at me and engulfed me in a group hug. ‘Guys. Can’t. Breathe. Help.’ They loosened their grip and chuckled. Only Liam didn’t let go. ‘I’m so glad you don’t have to leave,’ he whispered, before pecking my lips. I couldn’t help, but smile. I was so happy I wouldn’t have to leave Liam.
-a couple of days later-
Today had been the busiest day ever! I had to say goodbye to my foster parents and had to drop them off at the airport, which was an emotional happening. My dad and I visited a house nearby the boys’ house and fell in love immediately. ‘This is going to be perfect,’ my dad had said, when we were inside the petite house. It was very cozy and had more than enough room for just the two of us. We filled out all the paperwork for the house, plus the paperwork that my dad wanted custody over me again. Until we fixed up the place, the boys let us stay with them, which I didn’t mind at all, because I could spend a lot of time with Liam, the boys and my two best friends who were around a lot too. At night we watched a scary movie, which resulted me lying in Liam’s big protective arms, Skylar in Louis’, Alyssa in Niall’s and Zayn in Harry’s since they didn’t want to be left out. I’ll be sure to never forget this always tease them with it.
After the movie, everyone got up and got themselves ready for bed. Liam had left to his room, while I changed into my pajamas, which consisted of a purple top and black shorts, and brushed my teeth. When I came back to Liam’s room, he was bare-chested and was busy with his laptop. I couldn’t help but check out his amazing chest and buff arms. ‘Wow, are you trying to seduce me?’ he asked, eyeing me up from head to toe. ‘Aren’t I the one to say that?’ I replied, grinning, as I made my way over to his bed. He shut the laptop and put in on the ground next to the bed. I cuddled up in his arms and listened to the beating of his heart. ‘What’re you thinking about?’ ‘What if we didn’t meet,’ I replied after a while. ‘I don’t want to think about what ifs, because I couldn’t be without you. Demi, will you be mine forever?’ My stomach made several flips and I couldn’t resist the urge; I had to look at him. ‘Only if you’ll be mine.’ ‘I love you, Demi.’ ‘I love you too, Liam,’ I whispered against his lips, before touching them lightly. Liam intensified the kiss and traced my bottom lip with his tongue. The kiss wasn’t lustful, it was passionate, it was full of love. I wouldn’t have to worry about the ‘what ifs’ anymore. Because I have him. Liam’s mine and nothing’s gonna change that.
