When the stranger opened his mouth to speak May cut him off with a loud snarl. How could she not have noticed him earlier he was up wind for crying out loud! She mentally kicked herself for letting her guard down now that Alpha Darius was here. She had to get Iris out of here, this was all her fault she should've introduced Alpha Darius and Iris before she went running.

Iris stood up realising something was wrong. She made a whining noise at May to ask what was wrong but before May could respond the stranger spoke.

"I'd be quiet if I were you, ladies, I'm the Beta of the Blue Moon pack and I have come to collect what belongs to my Alpha, but seeing as she is never alone..." His eyes darted to stare May down, but her returning glare never wavered.

"I have a choice I can either kill you or take you with me; it's up to you darling, but I'm sure you'd enjoy our pack very much, a pretty young wolf like yourself could easily climb the ranks and have an easy life." He winked at May hoping she'd come willingly; this was hard enough as it was without anyone making it harder. He'd been camped out for days waiting for an opportunity to grab the Alpha's mate when he hadn't even got around to making his own web page yet to find his own mate. He hated acting like the bad guy but it was his job to kidnap the Alpha female seeing as the Alpha had other things to deal with without going on a treasure hunt. The only way he could get her was to bring her friend or dispose of her friend. What on Earth would that look like to his future Alpha female? First he's kidnapping her and then he murders her friend in cold blood.

That's when he decided to go full in on this and get them both it was the only way it could work. The whole time he thought this through May never stopped growling or staring while Iris was frozen to the spot staring and having an internal panic attack. She had never had anything to do with an Alpha which must mean that May had done something and the two were always joined at the hip so he must mean that he was going to kidnap May and kill her if she didn't go willingly!

While Iris was internally getting the complete wrong end of the stick May was trying to figure out a way to distract this Beta long enough to allow Iris to get away.

Several things happened at the same time Iris held her footing and let out a loud howl of distress to her pack, she just had to hope someone heard and came to their aid. May lunged at the Beta in the hope of knocking him down long enough for Iris to escape. The Beta made a gesture to one of his pack members that had accompanied him. The Beta shifted ripping the shorts he'd only just put on. May was hit mid leap by a tranquiliser dart that had been shot by the Beta's back up. May flew over the top of the Beta as his height had gotten shorter now he was on all fours and nicked his face with her back foot. May nearly landed perfectly if it had not been for the drugs taking affect and the fact there had been a tree behind the Beta. Her shoulder hit the side of the tree and her legs wouldn't hold her now that they had begun to feel like jelly. She slumped into the dirt as her eyes fluttered shut.

As all that happened Iris stood panicked she couldn't leave her friend like this, they could do anything to her while she was like that. Iris let out another gut wrenching howl hoping, praying somebody would howl back. But she heard nothing; nobody was coming she'd have to go with May, get killed or fight, running was not an option. If she fought she would either die or win but most likely die since there were two of them and one of her and they had a dart gun. If she got killed nobody would ever be able to help May. Iris didn't have a clue that they were ordered to bring her back without a scratch on her. So out of fear for her friend Iris laid down and let them take her.

The guy with the dart gun threw some more shorts at the Beta who shifted and got changed; he pulled out the empty dart from May's unconscious form and threw her over his shoulder. The man with the dart gun took it apart and put it in a case handing it to the Beta. He picked up a large metal pole with a loop on the end and hooked it around Iris's neck so she wouldn't escape. He pulled her along towards the truck with a cage on the back that they'd travelled there in. It was a few miles walk but would only take them a matter of minutes as the Beta ran and threw May in the back of the cage. He sat in the driver's seat waiting for his pack mate to hurry up and put Iris in the back.

Iris felt ashamed as she willingly climbed in the back. She knew she didn't stand a chance against them she rarely ran around in wolf form or trained up in combat they'd have just killed her or darted her. She looked down in sorrow as the man who put her in there clicked the lock shut. He looked at her showing the shame he felt on his face for doing this to his future Alpha female and shook his head. No she couldn't know that he wasn't really as hard as he seemed he needed to keep his walls up everyone did until these two could be trusted to know what had been happening in the Blue Moon pack behind closed doors.

He grinned at Iris what he thought would be considered a creepy menacing grin and tried to stop himself from saying sorry to her. His mouth moved of its own accord but not a sound came out as he mouthed sorry to her. She wasn't paying attention to see though as she was too lost in her thoughts.

He pulled a black sheet over the cage to prevent them from seeing what was happening or to prevent other wolves from other packs seeing what was happening. It also meant that werewolves stayed a secret in case May woke up before they got to the Blue Moon pack lands and accidentally shifted in front of humans.

He sighed and walked around to the passenger seat slumping inside the cab of the truck. The Beta got his phone out of the glove compartment and rang his Alpha. He felt nervous about what he would say as he heard the phone begin to ring. Should he tell him about May or surprise him. Surprising him felt like the better option now because he didn't know how he'd take the news.

"Alpha Gage speaking."

"It's me."

"Do you have her?"

"Yes."

"Good see you soon."

Shortest conversation he'd ever had. Well at least since the Alpha hung up he wouldn't have to explain why he didn't say anything about May being with them. But now he had to figure out how to keep her safe if the Alpha wanted rid of her. He didn't want to be responsible for the death of an innocent just because he was too impatient to wait for Iris to be on her own. As for his pack mate he could see how guilty he was feeling so knew he'd go along with whatever he came up with.

Out of nowhere it began to rain torrentially soaking threw the sheet covering the cage making the girls in the back wet when it started dripping through. Right then whatever hope Iris had left began to wash away she couldn't even day dream about being rescued now. The rain had washed away all hope of being found when it washed away their scents and foot prints. It was time for her to grow up this was life it didn't work like fairy tales right now she had to stick with May until she woke up and then plot their escape since she doubted May would be up to it.
