After Hours - exo kai jongin kyungsoo kaisoo kimjongin dokyungsoo - Asianfanfics

He walks in beauty, like the night

   Of cloudless climes and starry skies;

And all that's best of dark and bright

   Meet in his aspect and his eyes;

Thus mellowed to that tender light

   Which heaven to gaudy day denies.

Kai lowered the book that he was reading, raising his eyes to appraise the quiet man standing at the counter. Truth be told, he hadn't been reading the book at all; it was just for show. His eyes traveled down the librarian's neck, lower and lower until they had scoured every inch of the man's body. His tongue swept out from between his teeth to wet his lips.

The first time he had caught sight of the heavenly sight, he had been entranced. It was the time when his friends had dragged him to the library to work on a project long overdue. Kai had neglected the assignment until his teacher sat him down the day it was due and told him that he wouldn't be able to graduate until he completed it. He had been fine with that, but his friends, who were too kind for their own good, had forced him to work on it, pulling him along to the library for research. It was then that he had seen Do Kyungsoo. One of his friends, the obnoxious Suho, to be precise, knew the librarian pretty well, and convinced him to help out. All things considered, it was definitely the librarian who had sparked the will to actually do one of his assignments in Kai.

Kai had taken it upon himself to display the best image as possible to the introverted and intellectual-looking man. His friends noticed this, and after a few minutes of hushed discussion amongst themselves, decided that it was for the best to move away and observe what would happen. It had taken Kai all of his self-restraint not to jump the beautiful and slender frame when the librarian sat down next to him with a pile of books. Not to mention, he had been extremely agitated recently due to his excessive failures in hooking up with girls (or a few boys).

"Do you have any ideas as to what you want your project to emphasize?"

Kai's throat had constricted into a tiny ball of nothingness when he'd heard the soft and melodic voice that came from the individual beside him.

"I'm not too sure about my topic, because romanticism and poetry really aren't my kind of thing."

Kyungsoo's expressionless face remained so as he pulled out a few books from the large stack, handing them over to Kai. "These are a few texts I've read that definitely focus on the impact and origins of romanticism. As for poetry, the directions of your project say they can be from any time period, so long as you relate romanticism to them."

Kai nodded wordlessly, accepting the books with two hands, making sure to run his fingers over the librarian's small and slim hands while doing so. The librarian hadn't really reacted; he'd turned back to the pile of books calmly and continued rifling through pages of old literature.

During a majority of the time spent, Kai had actually focused on the project, sneaking occasional glances at Kyungsoo's eyes, lips, and more importantly, the lower half of his body (this proved to be a difficult task, as Kyungsoo had been sitting of the other side of the table).

Kai had reluctantly said goodbye when the librarian stood up a few hours later and told him it was time for the library to close.

Kyungsoo was conflicted. On one hand, he quite liked meeting with the high school student who required assistance on his poetry project; the discussions the two had together were enjoyable The two had gotten to know each other a little better during the duration of the project. On the other hand, he realized that the not-so-innocent looks that the student gave him were starting to make him feel strange.
