When Kelly said that 'the things we need to discuss' will shocks us, I didn't think we'll get this shocked.

I choked when I heard that we'll be doing it. I don't think I can do this. I love this place too much.

"Why are we moving to Los Angeles, California?" Bliss asked.

"Well, the reasons of your mom and I is because my boss assigned me to work there," Dad informed.

Bliss nodded and Apple asked, "So, mom, dad, why are we moving to Los Angeles, California?"

I can tell that Apple's parents are hesistating to answer but his dad spoke up, "Because your mom and I decided to send you to the best school. It's for the best. Also, your mom and I were promoted, and we were assigned to work in L.A."

Apple cocked an eyebrow and said with a strained voice, "O...-kay."

She's for sure upset because of moving to L.A., California.

It's now Kelly's turn to ask. "Dad, mom, what's the reason?"

Kelly's parents looked at each other with hesistant looks on their faces. "Kel, there is a newly opened hospital in L.A., I passed my resume and went there for interview last week. I was hired and told to start working by next week."

Kelly's face saddened, she nodded and stayed silent.

I'm the the only one who didn't speak up, I was too shocked to speak or let out any word.

My best friends' parents are close friends since 6th grade. They barely make it to be apart.

Dinner was dead silent, it's defeaning. The tension is so thick, you can cut it with a knife.

After eating, I went to my room, Kelly at the garden, Apple, in the balcony, Diana at the porch, and Bliss in her room. We didn't say anything to our parents.

"It's okay, Sophia. Kelly will get along with it," Ryan, Kelly's dad, assured Sophia, Kelly's mom.

"I hope so," Sophia said.

I can tell that my besties and I my parents dissapointed for not responding, especially me. I didn't say a single word after the news. But I hope they understand that we love Prairie, Texas too much.

I grew up here. I was born here. I met my friends here. It's going to be hard to forget all the good memories we made in this place.

I don't think I can make it to L.A without being pulled to go there. I'll really miss this place.

But my dad was assigned to work there, which means it's a good oppurtunity for my family. It's true, our electric and water bills have been more expensive and the payment for our house upgrades every year.

My parents have a hard time for paying all the expenses including the tuition fee of Bliss and I. I feel pity for them.

Who knows, maybe going to L.A will be a great start. We could look for a cheaper house, and see more sites.

Dad was never assigned to any other places. So it's possible that my dad's boss trusts him.

My dad is an architecture. He didn't design big buildings before. This can be a stepping stone for him to be famous architecture. He always dreamed to be a popular architecture, we always believe that it would happen one day.

I took a deep breath, digesting all the news. My besties will all go to L.A.,

My besties will go to L.A., we will go to L.A, together.....I think? I have to make sure.

I dashed over to the living room and saw the parents with worried looks on their faces.

"Dad, tell me. Are we going to go to L.A with your besties and mine?" I asked.

"Yes," they all answered in unison.

I cocked an eyebrow. "Are you sure?"

"Of course," Mom popped.

I nodded and ran towards Bliss's room where I hear her soft cries. I slowly opened the door and saw her crying herself out, head buried against the pillow.

I walked towards her and engulfed her in a bear hug.

I rubbed her back gently and cooed, "Sshh, stop crying. It's okay. Everything will be alright."

She pulled away from the pillow. "Sis, I don't want to go to L.A. I like it here, in Texas."

I gave her a sad smile. "Bliss, you do know that mom and dad is having a hard time paying our expenses in our house and the tuition fee in our school, right?" She nodded.

"Dad was assigned to design in L.A., it's a big thing!"

"But I don't want to go to L.A.," she whined.

"Me too. But this is for the best. And here's one thing, we are going to L.A., with our besties," I chirped.

"Really?" she beamed.

I nodded. "Yup!"

"So, no one will be left out?"

I shook my head. "No one."

She gave me a weak smile. "We'll go to L.A."

"We surely will."

I called my besties to go to Bliss's room. I gotta admit, they look really sad. Can't blame them.

I told them that we'll be going to L.A. together. I can tell that they'll be agreeing to go. In one condition.....

"Fine," our parents whined.

"We'll be neighbors," Robert, Apple's dad stated.

"Yeah, we'll live in the same subdivison," Dianne, Diana's mom, decided.

"Yesss!!" us girls shouted in victory. I threw my hands up in the air in happiness.

"Wait, when are we moving?" Diana asked.

"Next week," dad informed.

"This weekend, I'll call a friend in L.A., to ask what's a cheap, good, and safe subdivision where we can live," Raymond, Diana's dad, informed.

"Well, that's good. It's settle then. Move to L.A. next week," Dianne called.

"Okay!" the girls and I stated.

"So this weekend, we'll start packing," the daddys said in unison.

"Right!" the moms stated.

My besties left along with their parents after saying goodbye. I called good night to my family and headed to my room.

I took a quick shower, brush my teeth and changed into my sleep wear.

I laid down the bed and tugged the blanket up to my waist. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.......

****

The girls are moving to L.A., California!! I'll be thinking of a name of their subdivision. Yup, a good name! Hmm....
