Liam's POV
"Big bro! Bro!" I heard Lea shout from the theater room.
I got up from the sofa and went to the theater room. I opened the door and slid my head and peeked.
"Yes, Lea?" I asked and got in.
I was waiting for her to reply, but no answer. She just continued watching a movie while seating on a plush sofa, the back of her head facing me.
I stared at the 85 inch TV and realized she's watching a horror movie. Curse of Chucky. Seriously?! This isn't for kids like her; it's bloody. I'm not scared, but my sister sure is.
Before the scariest part of the movie (Liza and Celine said) started, I rushed over the coffee table and grabbed the remote, and turned the TV off.
"Oh my gosh! A....m-monster, a g-ghost," Lea whimpered. She sure didn't see me, she only saw the screen fade to black.
She started crying without even noticing me. How come? I seriously don't know. She leaned against the sofa and curled her body into a ball, her back facing me.
I ushered and walked towards her. I sat on the sofa and started rubbing her back gently. She shrieked and screamed out loud.
"AAAHHHH!" She screamed.
"Lea, stop crying. It's me, big bro," I cooed.
She immediately stopped screaming and got up. She threw her arms at me and buried her face against my neck while crying. After a few minutes, she pulled away and looked at me with her teary-eyes.
"Bro, the TV turned off by itself!" She screamed.
I wrapped my arms around her and said, "No, it didn't. I was the one that turned off the TV. You just didn't notice me."
"Really?"
I nodded.
"Oh."
I chuckled. "How 'bout let's go to you room?"
"Okay!"
I carried Lea and went to her room. Lea's room is like a princess' room. The walls are pink, floor tiles are a pattern of yellow, purple, and blue. And there goes the posters of hwr favorite bands posted on her mood board. She has lots of toys at a small room that contains all her toys. She has cooking sets, barbie dolls, toy guitar, fairy and princesses costumes, and many more.
I let go of Lea on the bed and sat on it.
"I have something to tell you, Liam," She said with a nervous and troubled look.
I cocked an eyebrow. "What is it?"
She took a deep breath. "I have a classmate named Dave and he has been sending me love letters."
My eyes widened in shock.
No way...
Without any response from me, my sister continued, "I've been receiving love letters and I found out it's from Dave."
"You have a secret admirer?" I asked.
My sister's too young. She can't have a freaking boyfriend yet! Maybe 18, no. 25 and above, yeah 25 and above!
I heard Lea sigh. "Yes, I have a secret admirer. Dave."
I facepalmed. "And what did you do?"
She suddenly became mute, while blushing.
Oh.My.God
"Lea, you have a crush on Dave?" I said, doing my very best to not shout at my little sister.
Still, no answer.
"Lea...."
"Okay! Okay! I do have a crush on him," she admitted shyly with flushed cheeks.
I can't believe this! She's feeling butterflies and tingles! She's SO young!
"Lea, your....too young," I reminded her. She always had feels for love stories like any other fairytales.
She sighed. "I know. It's just...I can't help it!"
I admit, I had a crush before. But not this early! I never had a crush on my 8 years of age! Maybe 11.
"Lea. There is no way you can have a crush on that guy Dave," I said with a stern voice.
"But, it already happened," she whined.
I sighed. "Okay, fine. I'll let this pass. But don't you dare have a relationship with him if he courted you, okay?!" I said in a louder voice.
She looked taken aback. Man, she's in a relationship?! As in:
R-E-L-A-T-I-O-N-S-H-I-P
"Of course I don't have a boyfriend!" she yelled in denial.
Good. I sighed in relief.
"Well, that is such a relief. 'Cause I am telling you, your big bro would have a tantrum when I found out that Dave courted you and you said yes," I said in a calm but threatening voice.
"Yes," she said with a smile that made me smile back.
Then, she started jumping on the bed and screamed, "And the overprotective Liam was unleashed!"
I chuckled. "True."
I am very protective towards Lea. I always think about her safety, I worry for her a lot. Big bro, duh?
