Chapter 29: Ignorance

Claire's POV

"What's going on between you and and Liam?" Bliss asked. "You two seem so...distant," she added.

I sighed. "He underestimated me," I admitted through gritted teeth. But the shakiness was still there in my voice.

"Wha-What do you mean?" Bliss asked in confusion.

"Bliss, he told me I want to sleep with Ethan. The school's bad boy," I admitted with an angry, yet hurt tone.

She gasped. "What?! Seriously?! Why?! He's so stupid."

"He is. He hurted me."

She then sighed. "So, what's your plan?"

I replied, "Ignore him."

"Are you serious?"

"Yes."

"But, what if Liam asks for your forgiveness?"

"Nothing," I stated, "I'll never forgive him."

"Can you do that?"

"Yes."

"Sure, you can."

"I have to do it."

"Right."

I thought going shopping would distract me from everything Lian said, but no, my attempt failed. I can't get him out of my head.

I've received 4 messages, 15 phone calls, and 5 voice mails from Liam. And yet, I've been ignoring him. And you can't blame me. He FREAKING judged me, he judged without any proof. I never thought he's that type of person, but dang it I was wrong! I thought wrong of him.

My phone beeped twice. A message. I took out my phone inside by handbag and read: Liam.

I should've known.

I sighed and read the message.

From: Liam

I know that I underestimated you. I know that what I did what stupid and so immature. But I hope you forgive me. Claire, I'm really really really sorry. I didn't mean it. I swear. Please forgive me.

I sighed once again and place my phone inside my bag.

I then heard Bliss sigh beside me. "Ugh!. What is up with you?! You said you won't forgive him. But then, your reading his messages!"

I scoffed, "That doesn't mean I'm forgiving him if I'm reading his messages."

Bliss sighed and muttered something quietly.

"What was that, Bliss?"

"Nothing."

Then, she flashed a smile. "Look, let's just buy everything we want and enjoy, okay?"

"I agree."

"Hey, look! I love this purple ruffles top. A cute one, don't you think?" Bliss exclaimed.

I smiled. "Oh yeah. You should buy it, it looks really cute."

"Think so?" she asked before stating, "$ 34. Cheap or overpriced?"

I shook my head. "It's cheap. Buy it," I encouraged.

"How about," I trailed off, "This one? A pink turtle neck top?"

Bliss glaced over the clothing from top to bottom and said, "Oh yeah. It looks really nice, buy it!"

I looked at the price tag and smiled, "$ 40. Nice price, no?"

"Nice price! Now let's go to shoe section!" Bliss said.

"Ooh...this is very pretty," Bliss claimed.

I looked away from the high heels and saw Bliss holding a 2 inches pink high heels with yellow ribbon. I smiled. "Go ahead and buy it."

We then moved to the high heels and looked at the 2 to 3 inches high heels. Tell you the truth, I don't like wearing 4 and above inches high heels. I can barely walk in on them, too high for me.

My eyes lit up as I spied a old rose ballet-like heels and I immediately took it from the rack.

"Ready to go?" I asked.

She smiled and responded, "Yep."

We then went to the counter and paid for our things. After paying, we headed to the food court, ate and ordered a take out Chinese food for mom and dad.

We went to the parking lot and I offered, "Bliss, want to drive?"

She gasped. "You'll let me?!"

"Well, since this mall is kinda near from our house, yeah. I'll guide you," I stated.

She smiled. "Thanks, sis."

"No probs."

I threw her the key jokingly and immediately went to the passenger seat. I got in and settled down and relaxed myself.

Bliss got in and started the engine.

Time to teach...

"Big sis! Thank you so much for letting me drive! I really enjoyed it, thanks!" said Bliss.

I laughed. "It's okay."

We then got inside the house and spent some time with our parents. I then headed to my room and threw myself on the bed with a sigh.

Long, tiring day today.

I took my phone and earphones and shoved it inside each of my ears. I scrolled down to look for some music worth entertaing and- spot on.

Suddenly, my phone rang and it's Liam. I kept staringat it, waiting for it to end. But no, it felt like it's been ringing for eternity. I sighed in disgust and had no choice, end call.

A few minutes, voice mail from Liam.

I have to ignore you, Liam, I thought.

Thankfully, every distraction ended and my phone finally settled to Music.

I tapped on the song, let go of my phone and smiled.

Said I'll never leave her, 'cause her hands fiit like my t-shirt. Tongue tied over three words, cursed....

If you'll pretend it from the start, like this, with a tight grip, then my kiss. Can mend your broken heart. I might, miss everything you said to me.

Liam, I don't know whether I should forgive you or not.

I'm so confused.

With the music, I fell asleep.

I walked around in a empty hallway. Suddenly, footsteps started getting closer from behind and I froze dead in my tracks.

Closer...

Closer...

Closer...

I felt arms wrapped around my waist and I gasped.

"Please, forgive me," a man's voice sounded like pleading.
