Liam's POV

I was interrupted playing Call of Duty when I heard someone knock twice.

"Come in," I called out.

The door opened and I realized it was mom. Mom got in with a mischievous smirk on her face. What is she up to?

"Hello," mom said, "Liam."

I cocked an eyebrow. "Hey, mom."

Mom acts weird today, her behavior is different.

Mom sat on my bed and crossed her arms against a chest and yet, still with a mischievous smirk.

"So...," she spoke up, "Are there any changes in your dream?"

My eyes widened. I should have known!

She wants to know everything about my dream. When I told mom and dad about my dream, I was expecting them to think I was lying, I'm in illegal drugs, or I'm crazy.

But I was wrong, they've been bothering me about it lately. And now, I'd have another 'conference' with my mom. Whew, thank God's dad ain't here. Or else, I'd die.

I gulped hard. "Y-Yeah," I stuttered.

Mom's eyes lit up. "Really?!" she beamed.

She boomed, "Tell me. Tell me!"

Sometimes, mom can act like a seven-year old kid.

I didn't answer. "..."

1 sec.

2 sec.

3 sec.

BOOM!

"Liam! Tell me," she whined loudly.

I muttered an "ugh", "damn", "this sucks".

I rolled my eyes. "Yes, mom. Fine, I'll tell you."

"Yes!"

I took a deep breath. "Okay, so when I begged her to stay with me, she agreed. And then in my dreams, I asked again for confirmation and she was sure, she'll stay."

"Really?!" mom beamed.

"Oh, how lovely and sweet. Oh Liam, your dreaming is so amazing!"

I chuckled. "It is.

And then she tilted her head and asked, "And then?"

I shook my head. "End of dream."

Mom gasped. "That's it?"

I nodded disapointedly. "Sadly mom, yes."

I sighed. "And then, it keeps on repeating and repeating every single night."

Mom's eyes softened. "Oh, that's too bad.

I nodded. "It's actually quite frustrating. I want changes, new scenes in my dream. Mostly, I want to see her face."

Mom shook her head. "I'm sorry, dear."

I gave her a sad smile. "It's fine mom."

She nodded, waved goodbye and left.

I turned back facing my screen and saw that I lost the game in Call of Duty. I groaned, man!

I was distracted: by mom, by my dream, and by the mystery girl.

Amazing. Not.
