Liam's POV

"Liam! Please open the door. Belle and Iza are helping me here in the kitchen!" called out mom when the doorbell rang.

"Yeah," I answered.

I've learned mom and dad met their high school friend and are coming here for dinner. They just live in the same subdivision where Claire and her family lives.

I opened the door and saw someone I least expected to see.

Claire.

"C-Claire," I croaked, surprised.

She's the daughter of mom and dad's friend?

"L-Liam?" she stammered, looking shocked.

I was about to speak up to ask why she's here but I heard mom's voice echo around, "Anna! I'm so glad you came!"

Ow. Mom's voice got louder and louder since she saw Anna Williams.

Claire's POV

How come Liam is here? Is he the son of Kayla mom is talking about? Why is it Mrs. Kayla's voice just echoed in my ears. Ow.

"Kayla! How are you?" my mom yelled in thrill. Ow, again.

"I'm good! Come in," Mrs. Kayla replied.

"Thanks," mom said.

Bliss and I havent said a word when we saw Liam open the door for us. "C-Claire. Bliss...your the daughter of Mrs. Williams?" Liam asked.

Bliss and I nodded. "Yeah," Bliss answered.

"You two know Liam?" asked dad.

We both nodded. "Yeah," I answered.

"We're classmates in some of the subject classes," said Liam.

"Oh, what a coincidence," Dad said.

"Yes. By the way, good evening Mr and Mrs. Collins," I said politely.

Mr. Collins chuckled. "Call me Daniel."

Mr. Collins laughed. "Yeah. Don't be so formal. Call me Kayla."

We nodded with a smile. "Of course."

Then, we went inside and went to the dining room for dinner. As we walk to the dining room, I heard a shy voice beside Liam.

I looked down and saw a shy-looking little girl hiding behind a grinning Liam.

"Hey, you are?" Bliss smiled as she bent her knees to get a better look to the girl.

"My name's Lea, Liam sister," she answered in a shy voice.

"She's kinda shy towards newly-met people," Liam answered.

I laughed. "I know you, Lea. Your big bro talks about you at times. She told me that you pee on his bed while sleep-walking."

Lea's shy side hid and an angry-looking Lea yelled, "LIAM!"

Liam looked down at him innocently. "What? I'm sorry 'lil sis."

I heard Bliss laugh and Lea said, "I hate you." She then went to the dining room with stumping feet and Bliss.

I chuckled and looked at Liam. "She's angry."

Liam shook his head. "Nah, she'll cool off too."

I nodded. "Okay. So, I didn't know you live here. Your house is really beautiful."

He smiled, "Thanks. I didn't know your one of the daughter's visitor. And it looks like we'll be eating dinner together."

I nodded. "Let's go?"

"Let's."

We went to our seats and I sat beside Bliss and in front of Liam.

Liam's POV

I don't know why I'm doing it, but I can't help steal glances from Claire while eating. She's really has good manners while eating chicken wings but I can feel she wants...more.

"I'm surprised why you and Bliss aren't eating chicken wings with your hands," dad stated.

Claire and Bliss hesistated to answer at first but Claire replied anyway, "Daniel, we actually want to eat with our hands. But...I don't think is appropriate."

I chuckled softly. I, too, want to eat chicken wings with my hands. Sadly, mom doesn't like it, saying it's 'inappropriate' and 'bad manners'.

Mom nodded. "Well, I usually don't like people eating with their hands. But, be yourself."

My mouth hung wide open. Mom never said that. Ever. Claire and Bliss are so lucky. Mom is extremely clean. I swear, she nevers eats without a cloth on her lap. I've always wanted to eat with my hands when it comes to chicken.

"Thank you, Kayla!" Bliss said with coolness but reverence.

Mom nodded. "Of course."

After eating, mom and dad went to the living room with Claire's parents and Lea went to her room along with Bliss. They grew really close to each other. Claire and I are the only ones left in the dining room.

"So...want to go to the veranda?" I asked.

"Is that okay?" Claire gave me a questioning look.

I chuckled. "Of course. Be my guest."

She smiled. "Don't mind if I do."

I smiled and took Claire to the veranda. Finally there, Claire started looking around while sparkles lit her eyes. I can't blame her, the view is truly beautiful. Since we're in the 3rd floor, you can almost see the view of the town from this village. Lightposts enlighting brightly, tall buildings reflecting the lights, few billboards around, and some towers around.

"Wow," Claire breathed.

I smiled. "Double wow."

"It's amazing." Claire then looked up and her smile got wider as she look up the sky.

I then looked up and saw many stars forming different things. "
