I Can't Live Without You [COMPLETED]

|12| Hearing the Movie

I got lucky.

No broken bones.

No major concussions.

Nothing.

I'm fine.

"What the heck were you thinking?" Says Sung Joo getting into the taxi.

I've just been released from the hospital,"I don't know."

Today is Wednesday. Seo Yeon's wedding is on Friday. I lose her forever in two days.

The taxi driver stops in front of a movie theater.

"Sung Joo what are we-"

"Thank you sir. Come on Jin Sung", he grabs my arm and pulls out his stick.

We walk over to the box office.

"Yes can I have two tickets for Finding Dory?"

"Yes sir that will be six dollars."

He pulls some money out of his pocket and hands it to me.

"Pay her won't you?"

I'm still confused on why he's wasting his money on something he can't even see.

...

We take our seats in the back of the theater and then the movie begins.

"I've been waiting for this to come out. To bad it hasn't made it to Korea yet."

"Sung Joo", I say unsure if I should ask him.

"Yeah?"

"Why do you still go to the movie theater when you can't even see the movie?"

He's quite for a second then his faces lightens up.

"Hi I'm Dory", he says in sync with the movie,"And I suffer from short term memory loss!"

He laughs to himself then turns his head toward me,"I'm not deaf you know?"

I stare at him in confusion,"What?"

"Just because I'm blind doesn't mean I can't enjoy hearing the movie. Before- when Finding Nemo was out I saw it. I enjoyed it so much I told my Eomma-"

He looks down and wipes his eyes.

He's crying.

"I told her that I'd take her to see the next movie when it came out."

"Sung Joo I-"

"She died in a car wreck. My dad had left her before I can remember and she was the last person I had left. After she died I couldn't control myself and I got into a lot of trouble. Then I ended up like this. Neither of us would be able to see the movie at all. She did everything for me and I couldn't even manage to keep one of the gifts she had given to me. She's gone and so is my eyesight."

I look at him as he stops to listen to the movie.

He's really not as bad as I used to think he was.

"I'm sorry Sung Joo."
