Chapter 1

The Meeting

Aang was bleeding. He could tell by the reflection of the water that it was bad. He stared down at his bleeding face, and saw that the wound came from the Arrow on his forehead. The cut was very large, and Aang knew he'd need a healing charm in order to fix it. He touched the cut, and grimaced, as the pain seared through his entire body, down to his toes. He looked down, and saw another cut across his chest, and his legs were badly burned.

Suddenly, he felt his body getting very hot. He felt the earth enclosed around him burning, and he shot it forward, when he saw the person firebending lunge out of the way. Aang jumped up, kicked the air, and wind flew from his foot, and it hit the man that he was battling. The man fell back, before jumping up and shooting more fire at Aang. Aang pulled water up in front of him, which turned into ice, but the fire broke through, and Aang shot back into the earth behind him.

"You've lost your touch, Avatar" came the man's sneering voice. "What happened to your mighty powers?" The man punched the air, and a great wave of fire shot forward. Aang jumped out of the way, as he pulled up a wall of earth and shot it at the man. The man dived out of the way, before punching the air once again, and Aang barely had enough time to pull up an earth wall.

"Quit hiding, Avatar, and face your doom" the man cried. "You have no power anymore" Aang called back, when the firebender jumped to his side, latched his throat, and pinned him to the wall. "You're about to face my power, boy" the man sneered, as he punched, as the red shot forward.

Aang awoke with a start. He pulled the hot blankets off of his sweaty chest, as he sat up, catching his breath. He looked around the room, but saw no fire, no water, everything was fine. Aang felt his head, before looking at his hand. There was no blood. He was fine. He was perfectly fine. "Phew" he said, before looking to the bed across from him. Ronald Weasley, his friend whom he'd been sharing a bedroom with, was not there. There was still an indentation in the bed, so Aang knew he had been there at some point.

Aang stood up, stretched, before pulling the curtain on the window back. Sunlight spilled into the room, as Aang looked out the window. Tents were outside of the Weassley's house, the Burrow. Aang saw Toph's rock tent, as well as Bao and Fan's green tent. Ty Lee was in a red tent, with whom she shared with Zuko and General Iroh, who had arrived at the Burrow the previous day.

They were all at the Burrow because Ron's father, Arthur Weasley, had gotten them all tickets to the Quidditch World Cup that summer, which was something they were all very excited for. Staying at the Burrow all summer definitely made this Aang's favorite summer since they had begun going to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The Weasley's were a very nice, big family with several children. Aang already knew five of them: Percy Weasley, the now graduate of Hogwarts, who was now working for the Ministry Of Magic, Fred and George Weasley, twin boys who were going to be in their sixth years in Hogwarts, Ron, one of Aang's closest friends from Hogwarts who would be in his fourth year at the school, and Ginny, the only girl of the children, who was going to be in her third year of Hogwarts. However, Aang had discovered that the two eldest Weasley children would be coming to the Quidditch World Cup, so he would finally meet them: Charlie, who worked with dragons in Romania, and Bill, who worked for the Wizards Bank Gringotts. Aang did not know when he would meet them, but he knew it would be soon.

They were not the only people that would soon be coming to the Burrow for the World Cup. Hermione Granger, Aang's friend from Hogwarts, would also soon be coming, as well as Aang's closest friend he met at Hogwarts, Harry Potter. Aang felt very bad for Harry over the summer. He would have to spend it with the awful Dursley's, whom Aang had to spend the summer with last year. However, Aang knew that Harry would be away from them soon.
