The Second Task

"Didn't you say you both worked out the clue?" Hermione asked, disappointment in her voice. They were in Charms, at the very back of the class, practicing Banishing Charms. "Toph" said Hermione. "You told me Harry wasn't lying." "He asked me too" said Toph. "Said he'd get someone to do my Potions homework for me."

"Did you not here what we said?" Harry asked. "Moody might also be here to keep an eye on Snape, just like how he's keeping an eye on Karkaroff?" Sokka asked. "I don't know about that one. If Snape was bad earlier in life, he'd have done something." "Well, Moody says Dumbledore's letting Snape stay because he's getting a second chance" said Harry. "Second chance at what exactly?" Katara asked. "No idea" said Aang simply.

"Maybe Moody thinks Snape put your names in the Goblet of Fire" suggested Ron. "Not this again" said Hermione. "We've thought Snape was bad before, but he checked out." "Doesn't mean he couldn't've changed his mind" said Sokka. "I think Hermione's right" said Katara. "Snape definitely did not put your names in the Goblet of Fire."

"Dumbledore's not stupid" said Aang. "He's right to trust Hagrid and Professor Lupin, even though loads of people wouldn't have." "Then why are dark wizard catchers searching his office?" Ron asked. "Why has Crouch been pretending to be ill?" asked Hermione. "You just don't like him because of that elf, Winky" said Ron. "You just want to think Snape's up to something" said Hermione, as she sent her cushion to the other side of the room. "I just want to find out what Snape's fist chance was, if he's on his second" said Harry, as his cushion followed Hermione's.

"You guys should have had that egg worked out a while ago" said Hermione. "I'm sorry, all right" said Aang. 'I've just been particularly busy with five magical wands, dark wizards trying to kill me and Harry, and a very dark and evil Spirit World" and his cushion followed the others.

Harry set an owl to Sirius that night letting him know what was going on, before they all took books out to figure out Harry and Aang could breathe underwater. "Aang will obviously use waterbending" said Hermione, flipping a page in a charms book. "Will that be enough?" Aang asked. "Well, Katara said waterbender's can bend the water around them which will allow them to breathe" said Hermione. "So, you and Mariko are covered." "That reminds me" said Aang. "Does she know?" Harry shrugged, and they looked across the Common Room to see Mariko with Bao, doing Astronomy homework.

Aang approached, and said "Hey guys." "Hey, Aang!" said Mariko, as Bao smiled. "Mariko" said Aang. "Did you figure out the egg clue?" "No, I haven't" said Mariko. "Have you?" "Yeah" said Aang. "Harry and I worked it out last night. In my opinion, you don't even need the clue. This should be an easy task for you, but I'll give you a hint." "Okay" said Matiko. "Take a bath." Mariko and Bao's face dropped. "What?" "Just, take a bath and bring the egg with you. Go under the water, and open the egg. You'll be able to figure out the rest from there." "Oh" said Mariko. "Okay."

Aang began to walk off, but Bao approached. "Listen" he said. "Thanks a lot for helping her out with this. Its her first year here, and its put a lot of pressure on her." "No problem" said Aang. "Maybe...she'll help me one day." Bao smiled, as Aang asked "You really like her, don't you?" Bao nodded, and Aang jokingly said "My little Bao's growing up." Bao lightly punched Aang's arm, and the two laughed. "So" said Bao. "Kila said all five wands were given out Where's the fifth one?" "There might not be one" said Aang. "I strongly think my wand is both the airbender wand and the Avatar wand." "So, the legend came true?" Bao asked. "I guess" sad Aang. "Now, we just can't get upset with these wands...and use them to bring balance to the world." Bao nodded.

Aang approached the others again, and Hermione asked "Aang, is it possible for Harry to make an air-bubble to keep him breathing under water?" "It is possible" said Aang. "But, he won't have it for long. It takes mastered skill. Only a true master of airbending can maintain an air bubble for over an hour." "That's what I've read in A History of Airbending that Iroh wrote" said Hermione. "Where'd you get that?" Sokka asked. "Borrowed it from Haru" said Katara. "Doesn't look like that's a solution for Harry's problem."
