The Avatar Spirit

Winky wailed loudly, as they all stared into Barty Crouch's blank, unfocused face. Dumbledore raised his wand, and ropes flew around Barty, tying him down. "Minerva" he said. "Could I ask you to stand guard here while I take Harry and Aang upstairs?" "Of course" said Professor McGonagall, looking very pale. She drew her wand, and Harry and Aang expected it to be shaking, but it was quite still.

"Severus" said Dumbledore. "I ask you to please go and fetch Madam Pomfrey. We need to get Alastor Moody into the Hospital Wing. Then, go and bring Cornelius Fudge up to this office. He will want to queston Crouch himself, and I want the Veritaserum to still be working when it does." Snape nodded, and he strode out of the room. "Iroh, please gather the Order of the White Lotus together and get everyone back where they're supposed to be. Then, you will also return here."

Iroh strode out of the room, as Dumbledore faced the boys. "Harry, Aang, come with me, if you would." The two boys looked to Dumbldore, and slowly followed him out of the room. As they headed up the passageway, Dumbledore said "I will bring you to the Hospital Wing momentarily, but I need to speak with you in my office. Sirius will be waiting there."

They rose up the steps, as Harry asked "Professor...where are Mr. and Mrs. Diggory?" "They are with Professor Sprout" said Dumbledore. "She was the head of Cedric's house, so se knew him best." "And Li and Mariko?" Aang asked. "They are in the Hospital Wing with your friends" said Dumbledore. "You will see them again soon."

They soon reached the oak door, and Dumbledore pulled it opened. Sirus strode across the room as fast as possible. His face was white, and he looked very worried. "Harry, are you all right? I saw the lightning from my cave-I knew something had happened." He helped Harry into a seat, as Aang sat down next to him. Sirius saw the blood on Harry's arm and leg, and the large burn on Aang's arm, and the blood spreading down his head. "What happened?" Sirius asked again.

Fawkes flew down between the two boys as Dumbledore told Sirius about Barty Crouch. Dumbledore than faced the two boys. "Aang, what did you see in the maze?" Aang looked up at Dumbledore, and said "Azula came in and attacked us. Mariko saved Li and I, but Azula still managed to get me to the cup."

"Dumbledore" said Sirius, looking at Harry and Aang's hurt faces. "Can we save this till morning? They are in pain. They need rest." "If I thought it would help" said Dumbledore. 'I would. However, they need to tell me exactly what happened, since it is still so fresh in their minds. I ask both of you, please, to tell us what happened."

Harry and Aang looked at each other, before Aang spoke. "We arrived in different places, but we were in the same area. I could see Harry and Cedric in the distance." "We were in a graveyard" said Harry. "And, a figurre was approaching. It was Wormtail." Sirius made an angry noise, as Aang said "A firebender attacked me. It was Ozai. I took away his bending four years ago, and he's supposed to be in prison, but he's not anymore." "I've Zheong-Zheong back to your world" said Dumbledore. "He is checking the Fire Nation prison."

"Then" said Harry. "Wormtail killed Cedric on Voldemorts orders, and he tied me to a gravestone, Voldemort's dad's. He took some of my blood, cut off his hand, and took his dad's bone, put it in a caldron with Voldrmort...and he was restored." "I fought Ozai and Azula" said Aang. "But, more firebenders came, and so did the Dai Lee." "Than" said Harry. "The Death Eaters came. Lucius Malfoy was one. Voldemort said he was found by a firebender loyal to Ozai, and they planned it all from day one."

"Then" said Aang. "We faced them together. Firebending versus airbending; the Expelliarmus versus the Avada Kedavra, and they connected." "Connected?" Sirius asked. "Why?" He looked to Dumbledore, who merely said "Priori Incantatem." He gazed into Harry's eyes, as Sirius said "The reverse spell effect?" "Yes" said Dumbledore. "Harry's wand and Voldemort's wand share the same cores. Each contains a feather from the same phoenix, this one, in fact" and he stroked Fawkes. "What happens when a wand meets its brother?" Sirius asked. "They will not work properly against each other" said Dumbledore. "One wand will force the other to regurgitate spells. Which means, some form of Cedric Diggory emerged." "He spoke to me" said Harry. "So did an old man, Bertha Jorkins...and..." "Your parents" finished Aang, and Sirius gripped Harry's shoulder.
