Chapter 13

A Call To Arms

"Aang!"

The call came from far away, out of the darkness that surrounded him. Suddenly, the darkness was replaced by the view of people over him. "Aang!" Zuko said again. "Are you okay?" Aang sat up, and said "Yeah, I'm fine. Listen, tell Fan I had to go, all right?" And Aang bustled off, leaving everyone else in shock.

Aang ran out into the Entrance Hall, where he saw George shooting sparks at Mo-Mo, who would jump away from each one, as Toph laughed next to him. "Toph!" Aang ran over to the blind girl, who asked "What twinkle-toes? I'm having fun here." "Listen" said Aang. "I need your help. Where's Hermione?" "No idea, why?" Toph asked. "Can you sense her?" Aang asked. Toph sighed, before stomping on the ground. "She's outside with Krum." "Okay" said Aang. "Both of you, come with me!"

The three ran outside, where they saw Viktor Krum kiss Hermione's hand before going off, leaving Hermione's face in deep pink. "Hermione" said Aang. "I need your help, now! We've got to get to the Common Room!" "What is it, Aang?" Hermione asked, looking concerned at Aang's worry. "It's Kila" said Aang. "She was screaming. She told me to come immediately, so we have to go!" "Okay" said Hermione.

The four went back inside and ran up to Gryffindor Tower. "Fairy Lights!" Aang said urgently to the clearly drunk Fat Lady. She swung forward, and the four ran inside. "We'd better change quick" said Aang. "Then, we've got to go!" "Where are we going?" George asked. "Hermione, Toph and I are going to the Spirit World" said Aang. "I need you to stand by and make sure no dark spirits get out!"

"Excellent!" said George, as the portrait swung opened, revealing a laughing Bao and Mariko. "Guys" said Aang. "We need your help!" "Oh" said Bao, his face turning serious. "What is it?" Mariko asked. "Bao" said Aang. "Kila's in trouble! You, me, Hermione, and Toph are going to the Spirit World to help her! Mariko, you need to stand by with George and watch the gate!"

"Aang" said Hermione. "If Kila's being attacked, we should bring protection besides wands and bending." "My wand and necklace will help" said Aang. "We can go invisible." "I don't think that's a good idea" said Hermione. "Don't use both the wand and necklace, Aang." "Okay" said Aang. "I'll get Harry's Invisibility Cloak."

He ran up the steps and into the boys' dormitory. He quickly pulled on his airbender outfit, before creeping over to Harry's bed, who was sleeping in it. Aang pulled it opened, rummaged around, before grabbing the silvery cloak, and beginning to head out. "Aang, what is it?" Harry's dreary voie asked. "Nothing" said Aang. "I have to borrow your cloak!" "Why?" Harry asked. "I'm sorry Harry" said Aang. "But, the more people involved, the worse it could get. Just go back to sleep!" "No, Aang" said Harry, sitting up. "Let me-" Aang threw his necklace around his neck, aimed his wand, and wished for Harry to go back to sleep, and the boy wizard did.

Aang returned to the Common Room, where he found Bao zipping up a jacket, and Hermione throwing on a sweater. "We're not going outside" said Aang. "We know" said Bao. "But, it was cold last time we went in." Aang shook his head, as Toph returned to them.

Aang faced George and Mariko, and said "You guys need to keep your eyes on this gate. We can't risk letting dark spirits out." "Okay" said Mariko and George together. Aang then turned, aimed in front of him, and muttered "Accessto!" The same purple window appeared in front of them, and Aang said "Let's go." He clambered through first, followed by Toph, and then Hermione. Bao gave Mariko a swift kiss on the cheek, before he clambered through as fast as he could. Mariko blushed a deep red.

"Lumos!" all four of them muttered, as they began to walk through the very dark spirit world. "You were right" said Aang, his breath being seen in front of him. "It is pretty cold in here." They walked through the sludgy mass they had arrived on, as Hermione said "The cloak! We forgot about the cloak!" "Right!" said Aang. He threw the cloak, and with great difficulty, they all managed to squeezer underneath it.
