Ch. 10

Dirk releases his grasp on Jake and turns away.

'W-what...?!' jake thinks in his head, but in reality he was frozen and couldn't move from his current position and yet Dirk was already walking. 'Don't let him get away from you English!' He blinks and runs after him. By the time Dirk reaches his truck, Jake is halfway there.

"Dirk!"

The blonde turns to Jake and as soon as he does the brit wraps his arms around him. His eyes widen as he freezes with his sudden contact. Jake looks up at him as his cheeks and nose become engulfed in a cherry red blush. "I....I....like you as well...Dirk..."

Dirk stares at him in shock as his own face goes red but remains hidden a bit under his shades. Jake stares at him waiting for a response, but then Dirk raises a hand to his cheek.

"A..are you...serious....? But I thought..."

"Well I'm not...and i am not with Serket either...I don't like her...she's actually rather irritating. Dirk I have liked you for...years...just..never got the courage to speak up..."

"Jake....."

"But...I..if you're really upset....with me...I can back off....I understand-" but before he could finish Dirk pulls him into another kiss, one that wasn't as rough. Jake melts as his eyelids slowly close and he kisses back. Once the two pull away, they smile and press their foreheads together.

"Honestly Jake I was just as nervous about telling you about how I felt..."

"It's alright..." He says with a smile. Dirk smiles and hugs him closely. But then his heart skips a beat, he moves back and coughs.

"Dirk? Dirk are you okay?!" He lightly places a hand to his shoulder, but the blonde pushes him back.

"Jake....don't.....d..don't c..come near me....!" He presses his hands to his eyes pushing up his shades over his head. His breathing turning into heavy gasps as his fangs start to grow in his mouth. Pain erupting I'm his throat. He lets out a scream showing his fangs. Jake's eyes widen as he stares.

"D..Dirk...you're...a....a...vampire......?"

Dirk drops to his knees and heaves his shades drop to the floor as his eyes clenching tightly.

Jake stands there watching in fear, but also concern. He knew Dirk would not hurt him, but he also knew that Dirk needed something. Or else. He picks up the blondes shades and puts them into his pocket. He grabs Dirk's arm and pulls him inside despite Dirk's protest.

He sets him down in the living room and closes all the windows and covers them with the blinds. Bec growls at Dirk ready to lunge at him.

"Bec stop. Dirk will not hurt me!" He shouts as an order for his dog to stay down. The dog complies and lays down. Jake looks at Dirk.

"Jake...d..don't...!"

"Dirk...listen to me...I wont let you be like this....so..." He places a hand to his neck and silently walks over to him and cuts his arm to allow the scent of blood flow to Dirk's nose. Dirk jolts up and his eyes open up wide revealing their orange color as they brighten up from their normal hue. Jake stares at his eyes memorized by the abnormal color.

"J-jake please....! I don't...I don't want...t..to hurt you...!" He growls holding himself back.

"Just shut up love..." He goes over the couch Dirk had retreated to and leaned over wrapping his arms around him. Dirk freezes trying to control himself.

"J-jake....please..."

"Dirk....I don't care whether you're a vampire or not. I love you...please just do it.." Jake says. Dirk closes his eyes tightly and opens his mouth up wide his fangs in full view. He bites down into his neck piercing through his skin and flesh. Jake winces, but keeps his arms around him carefully. Dirk trembles afraid of causing too much harm or taking too much blood. He feels a stream flowing from his eyes as he takes in Jake's blood.

'It's.....so god damn sweet....dammit Jake....' he pulls away feeling as if he had enough and licks the bite marks to which Jake responses to with a gasp. His face red.

"Sorry...I had to lick the bites so it could heal...."

"I..it's fine...." Jake studders his face red as he lays his head on his shoulder.

"Jake...why?"

"Why what?"

"Why do...how can you accept me....?"

"Because....I don't see you as...a monster....Dirk...not like the ones who attacked me...."

"Jake...."

Jake lifts his head and looks at Dirk.

"I'm sorry...for hiding this...I should have told you sooner...of me being a half breed..."

"A half breed...? You're part human and part vampire...?"

"That's right. I only take blood once a month....."

"Is that so....?"

"Jaakkkeee!!!! Becccc!!!!! Im home!!! It's Jade!" Jake's sister shouts. He freezes up as does Dirk.

"I'll grab a shirt," he runs upstairs as Dirk puts on his shades and wipes his lips of the leftover blood.

Jade walks in and looks over.

"Oh Dirk! Hi!" She says with a smile. "What happened to you? You weren't aroud today at school. And jake disappeared sometime during school too,"

"Oh....." He rubs his neck awkwardly, "that was....actually my fault..."

"What?"

"It was a stupid thing really...I ended up seeing something that was a complete misunderstanding this morning...."

"Huh?"

"It's a long story, im sure Jake will tell you,"

"Oh okay...Bec!" She opens her arms out wide as Bec tackles her and licks her face. She giggles and hugs him.

"Hi Jade!" Jake comes back down with a black T-shirt and a bandage at his neck.

"Jake! Huh what happened to your neck?"

"Oh that? I was messing around on my way to the beach shore and i kind of cut myself while tumbling to the ground,"

"You better be careful dummy! And dirk mind leaving? I have to speak to jake privately,"

"Huh? Sure alright," the blonde stands and turns to Jake and hugs him tightly planting a kiss to his forehead making him blush. "Thanks....Jake..." He gives a small smile and let's go.

"O-of course..." He says blushing. Dirk smirks at his expression and leaves.

"See ya Jade and Bec," he enters his truck and drives off.

Jake turns to Jade who just stood there with wide eyes and a large grin to her face.

"Oh my god!!! :D" she jumps up and around giggling, "When did this happen jake?!"

"T..today? Before you came....?"

"Oh oh that's great! Oh my god just wait til I tell dave!" She shouts giggling.

"J-jade.....gadzooks calm down. Friggin hell...what did you want to tell me?"

"Oh!" She pulls out an envelope and hands it to him. "This for you from Grandma's assistant. They want you to take her place as the head of the group,"

"W..what?!"
