Ch.13

The week goes by, and Jake just couldn't take all the pressure being put on him by the hunters and his boyfriend. He knows his boyfriend is watching out for him, but the back and forth play is getting too confusing to keep up with. Friday comes by and both boys decided to invite everyone over to Dirk's house in order to discuss the stories of the two and how they may connect. Jake sat on the couch in Dirk's living room completely anxious and nervous of whst is going to happen. And how the others will react.

"Jake..calm down okay?" Dirk says as he kneels Infront of the brunette boy.

"Dirk what if someone out there could be listening in on us or what if the others turn against us. What do we do then?"

"I can promise you that won't happen....these are our friends Jake they are the only people we can trust right now. Have some faith in our friends okay?"

Jake let's out a sigh and nods.

"Good," the blonde holds his head in his hands and kisses his forehead. The Brit smiles and hugs him by his neck lightly.

"Ehem love birds everyone is here," Dave says as he opens the door allowing their friends to come in. Roxy, Rose. Jade, Jane, and John all gathered in their living room obviously unaware of the reason why they were all called over.

"Everyone sit on the couch or floor don't matter which just do it," Dave says. Dirk and Jake stand before the others ready to deliver their news.

"So tell us why exactly were we all gathered here," Rose says.

"Yeah guys what's this all about?" Roxy asks.

"We have to tell you a bunch of shit that could very well get us all killed if we make a single wrong move. And I know none of us plan on dying just yet," Dirk says.

"Atleast I hope no one is wishing to die..." Dave says quietly to himself as he looks toward his best friend John. John looks up to him and frowns a bit as he looks up to Dirk and jake.

"First you must know about me. I'm sure one or two of you may have figured it out. Me and Dave.....we are half-breeds. We are part human and part vampire,"

"Wait what?!" John shouts as he turns to Dave who keeps his arms folded.

"Jake..you realize what..i mean jake!" Jade shouts completely confused and scared. Jane just sits in silence thinking and thinking unsure of what ro say.

"Yes I realize how much of a risk this is...considering that Dirk and I are in a relationship..."

"This is really no new news to me," rose says as her sister nods agreeing.

"Listen up alright? Dave and I as half-breeds we don't belong anywhere....we are the outcasts among both sides....we take blood atleast once a month. Our parents were killed by hunters a long time ago.....and then last year we lost our older Bro to the same hunters....we have Ben here since. For some reason the hunters never came back for us...."

"That's just..." John stares at Dave worried.

"This is very risky..." Jane says.

"As you all should know..." Jake says, "the hunters don't play...and are very serious to rid of vampires. And recently.....i was made the head of the group...and was given this," he reaches into his bag and pulls out the large green robe with flashing colors. Jade stands immediately as she sees it.

"Why would they give you that?! Jane did you know of this?!" Jade shouts. Jane shakes her head.

"I didn't attain the event entirely I was told to stay back as they practically crowned him,"

"Jake get rid of that!" Jade cries. "That thing is completely evil! Grandma and grandpa told me that it was the reason why vampires and humans no longer co-exist and why the war started!"

"So you know the story?" Dirk asks. She nods.

"What story?" Jake asks.

"It's the story of the beginning...the story of a monster, he was known as Lord English. Some prophets believe he will rise again in spiritual form and command a human body or of another beast similar to him...either way they are sure he will come back! That thing needs to burn! Jake I'm serious!" Jade says she grasps his shoulders tightly shaking him over and over.

"Jade he got it...calm down," Jane says as she sits her down.

"Hold on," john says intervening, "Do they....do they expect for you to wesr that whenever they see you?" John asks.

"Y..yes that's why I don't know what to do...if I don't wear it they will suspect something is off," he says.

"I have a solution!" Roxy says as she jumps up from her seat. Everyone turns to her except Rose who silently sits with her legs crossed snd her hands intertwined and resting upon her knees.

"We can make an exact copy of the robe, but the aura around it will be hard to go by. Now we can tear a small piece of it and put it to the copy that way whatever affect it has on you will not be as strong as the entire robe itself. That way they can check for the aura or whatnot around it and it will pass whateva inspections they plan. How does that sound?"

"Sounds like a good idea," Dave says.

"How will you know if it's guaranteed to work or not?" Dirk asks.

"As soon as we make it we can test it out by having him wearing it and actually walk toward the group with it," she says.

"I'll handle all the precautions in creating this said robe. I will be having assistance who I believe will manage well in sensing the aura of the evil lord. She's a blood sucker as well. Now however I need time to reconstruct the kind of power in the lighting of the robe since it's flashing rainbow like colors,"

"How much time do you need?" Jake asks.

"Unfortunately....about about two months,"

'Two months?!' Jake thought.

"We don't have time," dave says.

"And we dont have the materials for all of the robe. This will take time," rose says.

"Two months....i can do it. I'll bare it. You have two months," jake says.

Everyone turns to him seeing the determined glare in his eyes. The girls nod.

"With that being said," Dirk says, "This meeting is over. You guys are dismissed,"
