*stef's pov*

i was on my way to riley's home. it was only a couple of blocks away from my home.

i arrived at 123 sycamore st.

it was a white house with black window frames, looked very nice from the outside.

i entered into the yard through a white picked fence.

as i knocked on the door, a mid aged women answered.

"can i help you?" she said with a smile.

she looked nervous as i was wearing my police uniform.

"yes, my name is stef adams-foster, is your daughter riley?"

"riley, yes ah roseanne!"

"roseanne?" i said confused.

"yes, ah what don't you come in?"

"thank you!" i said as i walked into the house.

"is everything okay?" she asked.

"are you aware that your daughter is staying on the street?"

"yes we are."

"you think that it is appropriate to let your daughter live on the street and not do anything to help her?"

"listen, my husband and i, we run a foster home if you couldn't already tell. we have one biological son and one biological daughter, whom you've already met. and we are fostering another girl, the same age as roseanne. roseanne and her brother don't get a long well, and it's so hard for her to deal with everything. she recently stopped taking her medication and it's been really affecting her. her and my husband got into an augment and with her disorder, she took everything the wrong way. she thought since he was yelling and arguing with her like that, that we didn't want her anymore.

i nodded.

she struggles with anxiety, depression and bipolar.

"yes i know, she told us." i said.

oh okay, so she said "if you don't care about me, ill just run away and never come back!!" and she did."

"she didn't come back?"

"she did, but got into another fight with her bother, and left again, which was two nights ago, she hasn't come yet. but she said she was staying with a friend and said she took her medication with her. which she didn't."

"my wife found her lying on a park a bench, crying and blood on her face two night ago!"

"like i said, she got into a fight with her brother, and then she ran away and said she was staying at the friends house."

"your son gets physical with her?"

"no, not at all. i believe only that one time, but then again i don't know if that's what happened."

"i see, well as you should know, riley is safe and is staying with my family and i. my wife and i also offer a foster home and have 5 fantastic kids. she is welcome to stay with us for now, until she feels she's ready to go home if that's okay with you."

"ah yes of course, i only want what's best for her, she'll come back when she's ready. so yes, you have my permission."

"thank you, is there anyway you could give me her medication to give to her?"

"yes." she went to get the medication.

she came back with it and it handed it to me.

"here you go, she'll know how much to take. and please tell her we want her to come home!"

"i will, thank you for you time and understanding and i promise riley will be home soon."

"roseanne, oh how i hate how she tells people her name is riley."

i smiled.

i was on my home and realized i forgot to ask about maze. it's okay because she'll be home soon, i know it.

READER'S NOTE: Stef or Lena have no idea that Riley is Liam's sister or that Sarah was her foster sister. (If you couldn't tell, I just want to make that clear!!! the only people who know are Jude and Callie!) I hope you're liking it so far! :)
