"Thank you for coming," I told him once I opened the door.
"Of course," he answered while his eyes darted about the the room which included the lounge area, kitchen, and a vast panoramic window to the outside world at the farthest points of the room,"You've got a nice penthouse."
"Thanks," I said. "Would you like anything to drink? I just made a frittata....I don't mean to brag, but I make a pretty mean frittata."
"I don't doubt it," Chris chuckled. "But I'll pass. What do you have to drink?"
"Coffee, tea, water, sparkling water, regular water, and ginger ale," I replied.
"Do you live here?" he asked.
"I've been here since we started filming in Weymouth and I'm staying another two weeks," I explained. "And yes remember, I told you about my parent's owning this."
He nodded, "Right. May have some coffee please?"
"Sure. Do you like sugar, honey, milk, or creamer in your coffee? Also decaf or no?"
"Sugar and milk. Decaf's good," he replied.
"Take a seat. Coming right up!"
I handed him his coffee and feel sudden a craving. I went and slowly bolted towards the fridge.
"What are you doing?" Chris asked.
I didn't respond and returned with a pint of Ben and Jerry's Cake Batter ice cream.
"The cravings are kicking in," he laughed.
"I know," I chuckled.
On top of the pint, I had a giant spoon to devour it with. I was craving it yet I felt like the ice cream was calming me down in a way. Keeping me from going nuts.
"So..." I started.
"You go first," Chris told me.
"Alright," I sighed and replied after a spoonful of ice cream melted in my mouth, "I've been swayed from my initial decision. I am going to keep the baby."
His eyes just about bugged out of his skull, "Really?! What happened to 'I can't be a mum, so no thank you.'"
I exhaled again, ''I guess I just needed time to really think...My shock kind of over took me and the situation kept me from seeing the bigger picture..."
Chris nodded, "Fair enough."
"I'm assuming you want to keep the baby, Chris."
"You'd guess right. I'm glad we agree...However, if we didn't then I would've let you make the ultimate decision," he answered.
"Thank you," I said. "We're in agreement."
He nodded, "Yes."
"Well then," I began another stem of the conversation. "I've come up with a set of guidelines you have to abide by if we're going to go through with this."
"Guidelines?" Chris raised an eyebrow.
I continued, "Yes. They're easy. Only three. I like to call them SAD."
"Sad?"
"It's an acronym."
"For what, Perry?"
"I'll tell you," I smirked. "S stands for support."
For some reason this wasn't clear to Chris, "Support?"
"Is it just me or does that not sound simple enough?" I questioned. "Support goes under these three things. You have to be there for me and the kid. You will support me through this situation and will talk to me about it if you don't."
He nodded, "Sure."
"A stands for around. Do I need to explain that?"
"Yes."
"I'd like you to be present for most things. As much as your schedule allows...Those things are doctor's appointments, the birth most definitely, and you're around for his or her childhood. We're going to have a equal partnership in this."
"You don't need to worry so much about that, Perry," he was reassuring, but he'd have to prove it. "I'm going to be around with as much time I have free. What's the last one?"
I replied, "This one might not make sense by itself, but it needs to be known. D stands for desirable."
"Desirable? " Chris asked. "What the hell is that supposed to me?"
I smiled, "I knew you'd say that. Let me explain. I'm not the type of person that the right thing to do here is to date or get marred because we're having baby. We hardly know each other and if jumped into a relationship both of us can't keep close to our hearts then...What was meant to be right to the baby wouldn't be."
"Thank god!"
I eyed with a cold look.
"Sorry. It's not that I don't want to be with you, but I do agree we shouldn't get married for the sake of the child because we would inevitably fall apart."
"Exactly. So I'd like you to remain desirable to other women because you're a handsome and charming man..."
He smirked and ran his fingers through his hair, "Thank you.""Don't let that get to your head. Also be open with them about the situation."
"But that will scare them away!"
I shook my head, "Well, Buddy we did the bad thing and now you have to deal with the consequence of it. Plus the only girl that matters is one who attempts or does understand."
He nodded, "You're right."
"So do you, Chris Hemsworth, promise to abide by the policies of SAD? Put a hand on your heart and swear you will follow SAD.""I, Christopher Hemsworth, swear I will abide by the polices of SAD."
"And if you fail to meet any of the guidelines of SAD, then you herby revoke your half right of custody, which will be bestowed upon, Perry Edwards, and you will only have one visiting day a month."
"Wait! What?"
"Swear!"
"Just because I don't follow these guideline doesn't mean I lose custody...It doesn't work like that."
"My sister's boyfriend is a lawyer and I'm not afraid to bring that upon you...He's one of the best."
Chris had lost his case, "And if I fail to meet any of the guidelines of SAD, then I revoke my half right of custody, which will be bestowed upon Perry Edwards, and will only have one visiting day a month. Can we change that part?"
I sighed, "I guess I'll be kind and have a slight alteration made to our terms and conditions."
"Say I do mess up...Can I please be allowed one visiting day a week?"
I nodded, "Sure, but please don't let it get to that...I don't want it to get to that point."
"It won't! I promise, Perry," he tried to reassure me once again.
I nodded, "I hope you keep to the promise."
"Whatever happens, I'm going to be here as much a I can possibly manage and if there are some things I can't make, I'll tell you in advance."
I noted, "If you miss a few appointments due to filming then that's fine...The only major things I will NOT let you miss the first ultrasound, the gender reveal, and the birth."
"I'm not going to miss any of those things! I'm free for awhile, so you don't need to worry, Perry!" he exclaimed. "Just breathe. Don't stress yourself out."
"My life is a constant universe of stress."
"Maybe this experience will change that in some ways."
"Maybe. Just maybe."
