The first Christmas Chris and I would share together was arriving soon enough. It was going to be just the two of us. However we weren't truly going to be playing at as a duo. Mark Ruffalo from Avengers had invited us to a Christmas Eve dinner with inclusion of the other Avengers. I'd worked with a couple of them. Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans. They really were shocked to know that Chris with the last name starting with 'H' had knocked me up and we were dating. What a small world it is even though it is truly so vast. They found it gratifying to joke about the scenario. What else could we do?
Also we tried to keep a low profile since the media found out about our little secret. The timing couldn't have been worse. It was bound to come out eventually, however, it was a bit earlier than expected and we would've wanted.
Since the media discovery madness, we'd moved to a new house. Despite constant debate after our first conversation regarding this topic, we'd come to the conclusion to sell Chris's place. My house would be kept in imminent event that we separated in the months that followed. Plus it was smaller in comparison to my home. We decided since the goal was to move to Australia a year after our baby's birth, a spacious house was in order, yet nothing bigger than the abode I possessed because we'd move away from it anyway.
Thankfully we were able to find a suitable family home in a nice neighborhood in Malibu, which was also cozy and right by the beach. A double check in our book. I won't divulge any spiel regarding price range because there's no secret about Chris's as well as my bank account is overflowing with cash compared to others. That doesn't mean we waste it or squander it on worthless investments. Unless we're having an unusual crisis, which is a rare occasion.
After purchasing the house, like everyone else, we moved in immediately. Most of the furniture was from Chris's house and the rest from was stored for the purpose of having something different. In time, I would sell my own. Buying a new house was like a test for Chris and me. We took a leap in our relationship. Maybe not in the respect of family planning, but this could've ultimately broken us. It was different staying the night at each other's houses casually than to spend every second in identical walls. This was a step towards something more. Not just the reality of kin, but the potential of marriage laid in the air.
The institution has been discussed numerous times between us. It always came down to 'someday' but not soon. We both agreed the baby was the most important thing to bring our attention to. Not our romantic relationship. Sometimes I questioned if I actually loved him simply because he was the father of my child. My suspicions were often kept at bay , yet it was always a nagging thought from the velocity this coupling brought about in our lives.
The pregnancy was finally steady and I no longer felt as miserable as I did months prior. I had occasional symptoms of constipation, heart burn, crazier cravings, feeling hungrier, and colostrum. Has a new 'C' word been introduced to your vocabulary? Colostrum is when a yellow liquid is secreted from the nipples. I know! TMI! It's even grosser to experience. I've had to clean so many bed sheets. At any rate, my body was acting as it was intended. Despite being in my fifth month of pregnancy, the baby hadn't kicked me. He simply hiccupped. I hadn't felt any other such movement. I was seriously worried something being wrong.
Dr. Hemingway kept telling me that all was fine. He must have been shy.
The gender thing was still in the air, but I still believed I was carrying a little Christopher Erwin inside of my womb.
Anyway, enough with the updating the past situation! To a day in the life of Chris Hemsworth and the five month pregnant, Erin Andrews, getting ready for Christmas and unexpected visitors.
"Are you sure there's nothing else you want for Christmas, Erin?" Chris asked as we laid on our bed.
I took my nose out of my invigorating novel and replied, "I'm fine! Plus there's a week and my mind hasn't come up with anything else! What about you, babe?"
