Ellington's POV
When I went to bed that night, I still couldn't believe that the girl I'd known for years was nearly mine. I'd always known there was something about her, but now all I saw was her.
I woke up earlier than usual the next morning. We had a day full of interviews and things for the press. I absolutely loved these kinds of days, but all I really wanted to do right now was be with Rydel, alone. I knew we'd be together all day, but her brothers would be there the entire time. As far as they knew, all Rydel and I were was best friends. They were used to us being really close, so it wouldn't be hard to hide it, but I hated keeping this secret from them. I wanted to tell them how I felt about her, but it may not be the best idea. They would, for the most part, support us, but they'd always be worried about the band and how us being together might 'change things'. For now, it was just another little secret between me and Rydel.
Ross rolled out of this bunk above mine and ruffled his hair. I rubbed my eyes and stood up to get ready. We walked into the front of the bus, where Riker and Rydel were already sitting. Riker was watching something on the tv and Rydel was reading some letters that fans had given us in Boston, just hours before our little moment. I sat down across from her. She seemed startled, until she looked up and realized it was me. Her hair was messy, like it always was right after she woke up. I couldn't believe I'd seen her like this a million times and never fallen in love with it.
"Morning." I grinned. I probably looked like I'd slept for days, but I knew she wouldn't care.
"Good morning." She started to comb her fingers through her hair but I stopped her.
"Leave it like that, I like it." I touched her hand and gently pulled it away from her long blonde locks. She giggled softly and looked back at the letter in her hand.
"Look at this." Rydel said after a few seconds. She showed me the little note someone had written at the bottom of the letter. In pink cursive letters, it said, Rydellington.
I laughed. "I guess they could tell even before we could." I looked over at the boys to make sure they hadn't heard. They were both clearly distracted and hadn't heard a thing. I went to touch Rydel's hand, until Rocky walked in.
"You're all awake! Great!" Stormie chimed in as she walked in from the back of the bus. "We've got to get going. We have so much to do today!"
I went to the back of the bus to get dressed. Once I was ready, I slipped on my shoes and waited outside for everyone else. Rydel came out first. She looked so pretty in her lightwash jeans and long sleeve pink shirt. Let's face it, she could've walked out in a paper bag and she would've been the most beautiful thing for miles.
"Hey," I said as she got off the steps of the bus. "You look even better than I remember." I stepped closer to her.
"Thanks." She giggled.
I put my hands on her waist and stepped even closer. I looked around to make sure no one was looking and kissed her.
"What was that for?" Rydel asked.
"I don't know, because it's Wednesday." I smiled and gripped my hands tighter around her waist.
"Rydel?" Ryland stepped off the bus.
He caught us.
