Rydel's POV

I had no idea what I was doing tonight. I asked Ellington if he wanted to do something together, but he didn't seem very interested in that. All I wanted to do was spend time alone with him, but it seemed almost impossible. Why couldn't we just watch a movie in my hotel room or something? I guess we're just going to spend the night hanging out with the boys.

When we got to our hotel, the boys got their rooms and I got mine. The second I walked in I kicked my shoes off and fell onto the bed. A day of keeping a secret was suprisely exhausting. My mom came in to check that everything was okay with my room, but left a second later. The sun was setting across New York out the window. How pretty. I stood up to grab a bottle of water from my bag, when I heard someone knock on the door. I opened it up and saw Ryland standing there.

"Hey, what's up?" I said when I saw him.

"Hey, can I come in?" Ryland asked before making his way through the door.

"Sure." I replied slightly confused.

"So what are you doing tonight?" He sat down on the couch next to the window.

"Nothing, probably just hanging out with the boys." I replied.

"Are you sure about that?" Ryland smiled. I looked over at him, suddenly interested.

"Why?" I was suspicious.

"Be ready by 7, you'll find out then." Ryland stood up from the couch and ran out of the room faster than he came in. What was he talking about?

I tried not to think too much about what Ryland had just told me, I'd just do what he said and find out at 7pm I guess. I looked at my phone for the time. 5:30. I had an hour and a half to get ready for whatever mystery was waiting for me. I heard my door open again and jumped, startled.

"And look nice!" Ryland blurted out before shutting the door again.

I had absolutely no idea what was going on, but I might as well just listen to him. I looked in the mirror in the bathroom. My hair looked straight and a little boring, I might as well try my best to look nicer than usual for tonight. I got my curler out of my suitcase and began curling my hair. I looked through the seemingly million outfits I had brought on this tour to find one good enough. I decided on a black skater skirt and light pink crop top. The time was 6:45 now, and I wasn't sure what to do before who ever was coming, came. I looked back out the hotel window at New York. The sun was set now, but the city was still lit up. This is why I loved New York so much. No matter what time of day or night it was, it was always breathtaking. There was a knock on my door, and I walked over to answer it.

Ellington was standing in front of me. The smile on his face looked like he'd been looking forward to this moment for hours. I felt butterflies in my stomach when I saw him.

"Ready?" He smiled, holding out his hand for me to take. His other hand held a pretty pink rose.

"Of course." I smiled.
