It wasn't what I was exspecting when I took my boards to become a cosmetolgist, but it was a chance of a life time. There I stood being intervewed to work on one of the biggest shows of a life time, 'The Walking Dead.' I would be doing hair and make up. It was the dream job. The intervew went great and now all I had to do was show up tomorrow at like 7 am. No big.

6am
beep beep beep...
My annoying alarm clock was going off and I felt like a zombie, but I got up and took my shower. Getting ready for my perfect day, I hoped. After my shower I bushed my teeth and blew dry my long brown hair. I looked in to the mirror and my brown eyes were lost in the black circles under my eyes. After hair and make-up I went to my room and picked out a cute pair of black ripped skinny jeans to wear and a short sleaved black shirt that I had cut up and I thought looked cute but professional at the same time. Being only 5 feet tall on a good day, I sliped into a pair of heels to make myslef look taller. I gave myself a last look, I looked good I thought, and headed out the door.
I made it to the set just before seven and I was getting the grand tour and shown my work station, when the cast came in. Everyone picked a chair, but no one came to mine. I breathed. One of the other hair and make-up people intorduced me to everyone and they were all seemed nice and welcoming. Then the trailer door swung open and in came in Norman odviously in a hurry. Andrew had take the seat right beside my station and smiled.
"And thats Norman, He's always late for something" Andrew joked, Norman flipped him off with a smile and took his sunglasses off.
"And who is this?" he asked walking, more slowly, over to me.
"This is Stephanie, shes a new hair and make-up person," Andrew introdued me to Norman. I smiled not knowing what to say or think. Norman made his way over to me and pulled me into a hug.
"Its very nice to meet you, and if you didn't notice I'm a hugger," he laughed, and let go of me. He quickly scanned the seats seeing that mine was the only one left.
"Well aren't they rude, no one wanted to sit in your chair? Well the I guess they were just saving it for me," he smiled and sat down. I smiled and got to work. Norman played in his phone, then after a while he looked up at me threw the mirror.
"So you haven't said two words," Norman pointed out. "Just smiling, an amazing smile by the way," he added.
"Thank -you" I said while still smiling.
"She speaks, and her voice is just as perfect as her smile," he said as he held his phone up. "Smile for Twitter!" he said excitedly as I smiled and he snapped a picture.
"Did you seriously just tweet that?" I asked him, suprised by his forwardness. He hugged me as soon as he had met me now I was going on his Twitter.
"Yeah," he laughed, looking up from his phone, again.
"Norman has a problem!" Andrew joked "He's addicted to his phone," he laughed from the next chair over.
"Fuck you," Norman said with a smile. "He's just mad because he didn't get to be in the picture," Norman said as he snaped Andrew's picture.
"No, I wasn't, and stop showin off just becaue she's pretty!" Andrew said and he got done with his hair and make-up.
"Well I wont dissagree with ya buddy, but I'm not showin off," Norman said. I just stood there. Wait did Norman Reedus just say I was pretty? I stood there another moment, then finished doing what I was supose to be doin. When I was done Norman hugged me again before leaving.
"Glad you're apart of our little family," he smiled.
"Thank you," I said with a smile
He looked like he wanted to say more but didn't know how, or what and left. I smiled to myself and started cleaning up my area.
It was only a couple hours later that they all came back in. Norman leading the line this time. He smiled as he sat down in my chair again.
"So, they want my hair fixed, said I messed it up. Not sure how," Norman rolled his eyes as he laughed.
"Norman has a thing, where he has to be the dirtiest person on set," Andrew started to explain. I laughed, as I saw the mud caked in his hair.
"I need to wash this," I said as I made a face. Normans smile seemed to get bigger.
"Alright!" He said as he jumped up and went to the sink. I gigging after him. I made my way over and put a towel around his sholders. Starting the water and making sure to adjust it.
"They couldn't figure out how to add ur muddy hair in?" I asked with a giggle. Norman smile up at me.
"That's what I said, but no, aparently not," he said making a face I giggled. He was amazingly handsome.
"Alright ready?" I asked as I checked the water again. He nodded. "Let me know if it's too hot or cold," I told him, there was another slight nod as I gently wet his hair and tried to get the mud out. It was pretty caked in there though.
"Did you stick your head in the mud?" I asked with a slight laugh. He opend his eyes, and they sparked.
"I did," he confessed. I looked at him, and burst out laughing.
"At least your honest, but this is gonna take some scrubbing. Just let me know if I hurt you," I said, I wasn't going to on perpuse, but it was stuck in there.
"Hmm," he hummed in response, as I started lathering his hair with shampoo. I smiled to myself, it kinda looked like he was enjoying himself. It seemed like forever, but after about ten minutes I got the mud out. I sighed, and stated with conditioner. Norman opend his eyes again.
"Hope I wasn't too much of a pain," he smiled. I smiled at him as I shut the water off and grabbed a towel for his head.
"No, you're not," I smiled. He sat up, and looked at me again, the way he had earlier.
"This will dry in no time. In the heat. It's lunch," he stopped. I tilted my head slightly. Was he nervous? "Ya hungry?" Norman asked as he stood. I looked up at him and smiled, nodding my head. He smile.
"Cool, so umm, yeah," he kinda fumble with the towel on his head. I reached for it.
"Would you like me to at least finish your hair?" I aksed. When he had taken the towel off, his hair was a mess. He didn't look bad, but it was messy. Norman smile.
"Ok," he agreed as he went to the chair and sat down again. I brushed out his hair, it didn't take long and looked at him in the mirror.
"Anything special?" I asked. He smiled back at me.
"Naw, ready?" He asked as he stood. I smiled and nodded. Andy met us just outside the door.
"Was beginnin to wonder, if you two were ever comming out," he laughed, Norman made a face, and Andy smiled. "Well its a good thing you did because you have a visitor, " he said, his voice, seeming unthrilled. Norman looked around.
"Who?" He asked, Andy put his hands up.
"She's in your trailer," he said smiling at me. "Normans going to be busy hon, I'll show you where to get some lunch," he side offering me his hand. I took it with a smile. Norman looked at me the Andy.
"Sorry," he said lowly and walked away. I looked after him. He didn't look happy to be going to see his visitor. I looked at Andy, who stopped walking.
"His, I don't know what she is to him. I'm pretty sure, he's not interested in her, but she doesn't take a hint," Andy explained. I nodded.
We made our way to where they were serving lunch. We picked out what we wanted and Andy brought me over to a huge table with everyone else.
Lunch was nice. I got to talk to all the cast members and they treated me like I was already part of their family. It was weird eating with famous people. They didn't act any different, but knowing they were was interesting. After lunch everyone said good bye and it was nice to meet me. I smile and told them it was nice to meet them too. I walked back to the make up tralor with some of the other artists. Talking and laughing, everyone was really nice and welcoming.
When I saw Norman, and a girl, she pulled him in to a kiss and he held her. It was like a train wreck, it hurt to watch, because it was Norman. He was sweet, funny, and nice. I just don't know why I let that make me thing something was there. Maybe I was the way he had lost his words earlier? I pushed the shock aside and started to walk a gain, one of the other artist had stopped to wait for me. She was a really nice girl, and saw the hurt in my eye's as I tried to cover it, embarrassed.
"I had a crush in Andy when I started, but ya know he's married. It goe's away. Norman's been seeing her a while. She's a piece of work. Rude and arrogant, but I guess that's his type. He's a sweetheart. I guess that makes girls fall in love, it's just his personality. He's that way with eveyone, I guess that's why that bitch can walking all over him," she shrugged as we started walking again. I sighed.
"Yeah, guess I got cought up, star struck," I forced a laugh.
"Ohh, then you just wait till Norman's other best friend shows up, " she laughed. I smiled up at her.
"Sean?" I asked I was a huge fan of them both, just couldn't fan girl at work. She smiled.
"Ya, know of him?" She asked. I nodded.
"If he wasn't married, well it would be a hard decision," I giggled. She giggled too as we made our was back to the trailor.
I didn't see Norman for the rest of the day. I pushed the image of him and that girl out of my head, when it tried to haunt me. I didn't know what I was thinking, I wasn't a model or an actress. I wasn't dating material for Norman Reedus! I finished picking up my area and headed out to my car. I was heading home, to an empty house.
I had just thrown my drug dealing boyfriend out. That's when it hit me. She had said Norman was sweet and nice. I dated fuck boys, losers, and drug dealers. Norman and I weren't anywhere near ment to be. I sighed as I pulled out of the parking lot to the set and headed home.
