Jungkook's point of viewHe's such a jerk, why do I like him?
What did I find so special about him? Why was I so drawn to him? I asked myself these questions for the umpteenth time that day. He was an absolute jerk, so what was it that attracted me to him?
--
"What are you thinking about?" I lifted my head towards my boss's voice, biting my lip as I replied,
"Nothing."
"Well then, get back to work." I rolled my eyes at my boss, returning to my paperwork I had forgotten to complete last night.
"Namjoon!" I called, suddenly feeling the urge to speak to him. My boss returned, giving a grunt for a response to being called just seconds after leaving. "Can I talk to you about something?" He huffed.
"Can it wait?" I pouted at him, which caused him to sigh. "You know I'm still pissed at you for leaving last night." I nodded earnestly.
"I know, I'm sorry. I just got distracted."
"Yeah... You do that a lot..." I hit his arm with the paperwork.
"I heard that!"
"Whatever. What did you want to talk to me about?" I sighed, fidgeting with my uniform before finally whispering,
"I think I like someone." Namjoon nodded, not surprised by the news. "But Jimin says I should avoid him, because he is cold hearted."
"To hell what Jimin thinks. That kid knows zilch about relationships."
"But he's right..." I admitted, it was hard to hide that fact, so why deny it?
"So? My father had a cold heart, hated everyone, until he met my mother. She made him feel special, made him feel warm inside. They fell in love in an instant. That was thirty years ago, and they're still happy as ever." I stared back blankly, feeling stupid for not getting the moral. "What I'm saying is, no matter how cold someone is, if you do the right thing, if you persistently show how much you love them, they'll warm up." Namjoon rested his palm on my shoulder. "Don't fret about it right now, or you'll get no work done. How about we meet up at the cafe after work and talk about it there, yeah?" I nodded, brushing his grip off.
"Thank you."
third person point of view
As organised, Namjoon and Jungkook both walked to the cafe just down the street from their work. They talked through procedures they'd be learning in future, discussing reports and paperwork. All boring talk to those who took no interest in it. But for these two, it was a conversation starter.
Jungkook admired Namjoon, the man was three years older than Jungkook. And he had influenced the raven in where his career would go, Jungkook following his inspiration's steps.
"I'll get the usual," Namjoon spoke to the waiter, he smiled, nodding and turning towards Jungkook who was staring at the menu. "Why don't you just get what you normally get?"
"Because, normal is boring." The older rolled his eyes, looking down at his phone to check the message he had received.
Seokjin;
What are you up to?He sent a quick reply, whilst glancing up to see Jungkook still chewing on his lip as he tried to choose.
Namjoon;
Jungkook and I are at the cafe. Wanna join?Seokjin;
Only if Hoseok and Yoongi can come. (They're with me now)Namjoon;
Why not just bring the whole family.
