Third point of viewJungkook sat gaping at Taehyung who seemed very much unfazed by the information he had just given. He spoke as if it were casual conversation brought up over lunch. As if he had just told someone about the mediocre day he'd had. Not that his mother was Venus!
"You're mother is Venus?!" Taehyung gave a nod, his stare not leaving Jungkook's bewildered expression. "As in, the Roman goddess? The Roman goddess of love? And..." He trailed off, face suddenly going bright red at his thoughts. Again, Taehyung just nodded. "But..." Was all Jungkook could muster up, shutting his mouth again and looking towards the sky, now understanding why the boy had taken such an interest in it. "How?"
"Do you really want me to explain that?" Taehyung asked, quirking an eyebrow at Jungkook. His cheeks turned an even darker shade of red as he shook his head.
"No. I'm good," he sighed, rubbing his head as he still continued to stare up at the homeless demigod. "So you're basically half God. Or are you full God? What's your father?"
"No, my father's normal. If you want to put it that way ... I guess I am half God."
"I don't understand..." He mumbled, pressing his face into his hands as he groaned. "You're giving me a headache." Taehyung laughed lightly, slipping on the gloves that had been placed beside him. He winced slightly as he bent the wrong way, causing his side to burn. "You okay? Your mother said something about you getting beaten up." Taehyung gave a short nod, pressing into the wound to try and stop the pain, though it didn't help much.
"I just... was in the wrong place at the wrong time."
"What exactly happened?" asked Jungkook curiously, shifting himself so that he was sitting beside the boy he couldn't help but stare in awe at; now understanding a bit more as to why.
"Some young kids saw me walking back from the lake. Were probably bored, decided it would be fun to beat the life out of me. They almost did so." Taehyung stared into Jungkooks soft brown irises, the police boy's features were so mesmerising, it was hard to look away. His soft raven hair sat just above his eyes, tousled by fingers that brushed through it nervously. Everything about him was perfect; his smile, his skin, his laugh, his voice. Everything. Even his personality, it was so pure and sweet. He was childish, but mature. Unique would be a word to describe him.
Stop swooning.
Taehyungs's conscience told him, not that pest of a companion who normally spoke to him. When Jungkook noticed Taehyung adoring him, he released a soft chuckle. After being caught, Taehyung blinked, turning away and looking towards the sky once more. His cheeks a more deep red than the raven's had been previously.
Jungkook had something on his mind, something he couldn't seem to push away. The way Taehyubg would look at him. The way he would stare in awe when he thought no one was watching. Jimin said he was incapable of loving, but Jungkook couldn't seem to understand why.
"Taehyung ... do you love me?" There was no response to the utterly random and sudden question, as it hung in the empty air. Though Taehyungs eyes darkened slightly at the mention of the dreaded emotion. It wasn't so much anger, but sorrow; fear and longing. "Why can't you admit that you love me?"
"Because it's suicide." Was the dull and blunt response, not even sparing a glance towards the curious boy. He sat inches from touching the younger now resting beside him. Jungkook stared, bewildered by his answer, unable to comprehend what was meant by it.
"You're a mystery Kim Taehyung," said Jungkook finally, coming to the conclusion that he wasn't getting a different answer. "One I'd like to solve."
"You wouldn't want that."
"We'll see." Before Taehyung could give any sort of rational reaction, Jungkook had his lips placed softly on his cheek. It sent a wave of pain through him, but it didn't matter as Jungkook pulled away in a second; and it caused Taehyung's heart to ache. How he wished he would do it again.
Stop it.
"I'll come check on you later, for now, rest." Taehyung trailed his finger across his cheek giving a slight nod. This caused Jungkook to giggle. "You look lovesick." Taehyung blinked at an alarming pace, pulling his hand down and clearing his throat, trying to avoid eye contact with the boy now smiling triumphantly.
"Go away," mumbled the son of Venus, though Jungkook didn't mind being told such thing. He knew Taehyubg was embarrassed, who wouldn't be?
"Alright. See you tomorrow ... son of Venus."
