Jungkook's point of view
Never had I been so relieved to finally see Taehyung. Though the moment was short lived, because I was met with a slightly worrying sight.
When I had turned into the street, the first thing I saw was a bright glowing reflection; though I simply guessed it was from Taehyungs hair. The boy's hair was so bright, if you stared at it for too long, you'd most likely go blind. But there was something that made me feel uneasy.
As I grew nearer to the bus stop. I spotted Taehyung laying limp on the bench, his chest rising and falling slowly. But other than that he stayed completely motionless. He looked so frail and weak, I felt pity on him. But it was the figure beside him that made me feel queasy.
"Who are you?" I asked curiously, approaching the girl as she sat, playing with Taehyungs's yoyo. She was the owner of the bright glow I'd been drawn to. I had noticed that the blond boy was asleep - from the way he was breathing, and the way he shifted from time to time. He was no longer wearing his ridiculous gloves.
Thank god.
There were bruises and cuts dispersed across his face, most likely his body as well, though most were covered in dirty clothing or bandages. My immediate instinct was to grab the girls collar, pushing her up and narrowing my eyes at her as she stared back far too calmly.
"Did you do this?!" I shouted, causing her to laugh. Not something I expected. She pushed me lightly, though the force was strong enough to knock the wind out of me.
"No Jungkook. I didn't touch him."
How does this girl know my name?
"Who are you?" I repeated, this time being more cautious than curious. The girl looked powerful, and I meant that. Her figure glowed, literally.
"I am Piper, Taehyungs's mother." My jaw dropped as I stared at her, then back at Taehyung; switching between the two. The more I stared, the more they resembled each other. Though she looked far too young to be his mother.
"But... Why is he here? Why doesn't he live with you?" Piper sighed, caressing her supposed son's hand as she stared at him.
"I'm sorry, I can't explain this to you. I will let him later. But for now, please look after him. He was beaten up a few weeks ago, leaving him in pieces. Seeing you will hopefully bring his spirits back up." I nodded, taking the yoyo as she threw it down to me. Then she pulled out a pair of gloves, the ones Taehyung had once been wearing.
"So you were the one who gave them to him?" I spoke, she nodded simply. Then carefully draped them over the side of the bus stop bench. "What are they for?"
"They are to remind him of a gift he has." Was all she said, ruffling my hair. It felt like an electric shock had surged straight through me, but not in a bad way. "Take care of him Jeon Jungkook." She then began to walk away, I turned to Taehyung for a second then looked back. She was gone; vanished.
What the ... ?
Taehyung's point of view
"Taehyung." The soft voice calling my name rang in my ears, but I couldn't bring myself to open my eyes. There was an aching inside my skull and every surface of my body felt like it was covered with sharp knives.
What if it's another dream?
It's not idiot, he's sitting right in front of you.At that my eyes fluttered open, and sure enough, sitting in front of me was the boy I had been craving to see.
Jungkook.
"You're here." I stammered, lifting myself up far too quickly and staring down at him. He nodded, giving such a pure and genuine smile. Immediately I wanted to ask how he was, if his head hurt still and if he was okay. But before I could his own questions started rolling in.
"Where did you go? I couldn't find you for weeks." I rubbed my head, unsure myself. All I remembered was going to find the raven now sitting in front of me. Then I was in a ditch, with about fifty broken bones. Next thing I knew I was back here, my mother caring for me. She didn't speak though. "Your mother." Jungkook began, which caused me to stiffen.
"What about her?" I asked bitterly, hoping he didn't see her.
"She was here. How does she know my name?" I groaned, mentally cursing my mother for being here when he was. "And, why aren't you living with her?" He asked, as if scolding me for living out here.
Why is he blaming me?
"Jungkook. My mother..." I trailed off, not sure how to explain.
"She said you would tell me why." I looked up at the sky, he did too. Then brought his head back down, giving a puzzled look.
"My mother... Doesn't live here." I said awkwardly. Which caused his face to twist up in even more confusion.
"Where does she live? The moon?" He asked sarcastically causing me to glare at him, he sealed his mouth shut. Though was still extremely confused.
"No Jungkook. Though you're close." Which caused him to choke on nothing.
"Excuse me?! How am I close when I say the moon?!"
"Jungkook, remember when I said my mother was Roman." He nodded slightly, something seeming to be dawning on him. "I didn't mean Italian. I meant Roman, ancient roman. Her name isn't Piper ... her name is Venus."
