Train Ride

We got onto the train on the first of September. Uncle Remus didn't come to say goodbye or to wish me luck. But he sent me letter saying that he was helping make the Order again. I understood his and the Tonks family reason for not being here.

Bill and Charlie came to see us off, But Percy was at work. He had got a job as Barty Crouch's assistant at the ministry. Bill said how he wanted to be at Hogwarts this and Charlie said he'd see us soon. This confused us all and we sat in our compartment trying to figure out want they talking about.

Bill said he might take time off work to come watch something at Hogwarts. I thought he was talking about some national school Quidditch match. I was wrong there as I was to find out at the feast.

I went to change into my school robes and heard Draco telling his friends about Durmstrang. Apparently his father wanted to send him there instead of Hogwarts. But his mother Mrs Malfoy didn't want him to a school so far away. I was glad he went to Hogwarts, otherwise we probably never become friends.

I got back to my compartment and heard Hermione telling the other two about the spells around Hogwarts. She was also telling about the other two wizarding schools near us. Neville, Dean and Seamus came in talking about the World Cup.

Neville couldn't go, because his Gran wouldn't buy tickets. Ron showed him the figure of Krum he got. We were telling him about being in the top box. When someone interrupted us saying it was the last Ron would be in the top box.

We turned and saw Draco with his gang at the compartment door. Harry said Draco wasn't invited into the conversion or our compartment. But Draco ignored him and pointed at Pigwidgeons cage asking Ron want was covering it. It was Ron's dress robes for the year.

Ron tried to hide them, but Draco grabbed the sleeve and held it for everyone to see. Draco was making fun of Ron who was a dark red now. He grabbed the robes and put them into his trunk. Draco then asked if any of us were going to enter something.

We had no idea want he was on about. He teased Ron about not knowing and how his father and brother work at the ministry. I had had enough and yelled "get out Malfoy! If you aren't going to say anything useful leave" pointing to the door. Draco and his gang left as Ron slammed the door.

The glass window broke and Hermione repaired it as she scolded Ron. We arrived at the station in Hogsmeade and got off the train. We said hello to Hagrid before getting into the carriages. I went into one with Fred, George, Ginny and Lee.
