Finding a Date

Draco's POV

I was sitting with Blaise and he was saying I couldn't get Faline Potter to go to the ball with me. He said if I could he'd ask Pansy. I agreed, but only because I wanted to go with Faline to begin with. I didn't tell him that though before I went to look for her.

I was heading down a corridor when I saw her with the Weasley twins and their friend Jordon. They had their brooms and were heading towards the Quidditch pitch. I ran after them a shouted "Faline can I have a moment of your time?!"

They all turned to look at me and I stopped dead in my tracks. The twins and Jordon were shooting me glares. But Faline gave me a confused look and she nodded turning to the other three. She said "you guys go on a head, this want take long".

They left reluctantly and said if she didn't come in ten minutes they would come back. "What is Draco? You said we couldn't be seen in public" she reminded me.

"I know, but this is important. Will you Faline Potter go to the ball with me?" I asked getting on one knee holding a red rose to her. She looked at me as if she thought I was crazy. But took the rose and said...

Faline's POV

I was heading to the Quidditch pitch with Fred, George and Lee to play two on two Quidditch. When we heard someone calling my name, so we turned around and so Draco heading our way. The other glared at him as he asked to talk to me.

I told the others to leave and that I'd meet them at the pitch in ten minutes. They left reluctantly after giving Draco one last glare. I asked him what he wanted and reminded him we weren't suppose to talk in public.

He ignored my question and got on one knee holding a rose. He asked if I would go to the Yule Ball with him. I said "of course I will, how else would I go?" taking the rose from him. He gave me a tight hug and I told him "I already have a dress, so don't go wasting your money".

He nodded in agreement and went back to the castle. When I got to the pitch the others asked want Draco wanted. I told them that he was trying to give me a 'Harry stinks badge'. They bought and we played Quidditch for a few hours before dinner.

I went to bed after telling Hermione and Ginny who I was going to the ball with. Hermione was going with Victor Krum and Ginny was going with Neville. Neither of them judged me for going with Draco. They knew I liked him and we agreed not to tell anyone who Hermione and my date are.

Draco's POV

I can't believe it she said yes I thought as I headed back to the Slytherin common room. I am going to the Yule Ball with Faline Potter. When I told Blaise he was upset because he now had to go with Pansy.

I told him he didn't have to, but his a man of his word. He asked Pansy and she agreed, knowing I wouldn't ask her. Blaise and I decided not to tell anyone who I was going with until the night of the ball. So that it was a surprise.

A parcel arrived with Faline's Christmas present, I decided to give it to her at the ball. Because she already had a dress and told me not to get her anything. I went to sleep that night with a smile on my face.
