Faline's Brother is a Champion

The Black Lake

Faline's POV

Hermione, Ron and I were trying to help Harry find a way to breath under water for an hour. When Professor Moody came over and told Hermione and I that Dumbledore wanted to see us. As we left I heard him tell Neville to help Harry and Ron put away the books.

We got to the griffin statue guarding Dumbledore's office and saw Professor McGonagall waiting. "You are late Miss Granger and Miss Potter, follow me" she said. She said the password which was 'acid pops' and we entered Dumbledore's office.

I saw Cho already here with another young girl around my age. She looked like a younger smaller version of Fleur. Dumbledore told us about the next task and how he was going to put us into a magical sleep. He said it was perfectly safe and that the mermaids would guard us until the champions arrived.

We agreed and he gave us each a potion to drink. When I took mine, I started to feel drowsy straight away. I blocked my mind just before everything went black.

Harry's POV

Neville gave me some Gillyweed so that I could breath underwater for an hour. Ron and I haven't seen Faline or Hermione since they left the library. I was worried about my little sister. I tried to look for her and Hermione through the crowd. But I didn't see them and neither did Ron or Neville.

I stood at the edge of the jetty with the other champions. The cannon went off and I eat the Gillyweed. Then dived into the lake and then did a flip to show off a little. So no one would think I was dead.

I swam for about twenty minutes until I found what we were looking for. It was someone we cared about tied a rock under an arch way. I saw my little sister in some sort of deep sleep next to Hermione. I looked to see if any the others were near by.

But I didn't see anyone and I looked at watch seeing there was only thirty minutes left. I tried to free Hermione and Faline. But the mermaids stopped me saying I could only save one. I told them that Hermione was my friend.

Then Cedric appeared and he saved Cho. He looked at me and tapped his watch before leaving. Victor then saved Hermione, his half shark body scared the mermaids away. I freed Faline and looked for Fleur.

But she was no where in sight so I freed the other girl. I started to swim to the surface with the both of them. When a Grindylow grabbed my ankle and I pushed the girls to the surface. I grabbed my wand and got rid of the Grindylows.

I was starting to sink so I pointed my wand to the surface and said "Ascendio". I shot up out of the water and landed onto the platform. Faline and Hermione ran over to and Hermione gave my their warm blankets. I hugged my sis tightly and said "don't ever do something that dangerous again".

She nodded into my shoulder saying that they were never in any real danger. We pulled apart and I saw Dumbledore talking to some of the mermaids. An letter landed in Faline's hand and she read it. She turned to someone in the crowd (I couldn't see who) and nodded her head.

Faline's POV

I surfaced with Gabrielle next to me and helped her swim to the nearest platform. Fleur helped her out of the water as the Victor and Cedric helped me. Hermione asked me where Harry was I looked to the lake as Harry shoot out of the water.

He landed near us and Hermione gave him her warm blanket after we ran over to him. He pulled me into a hug and told me never to do that again. I nodded, then pulled away as a small piece of paper appeared between us.

Draco had sent me a small letter asking me to meet him after the feast in the Astronomy tower. I nodded to him and turned back to me big brother. He looked confused and I told him "I'll tell you later, I promise".

He nodded and we listened to the scores along with everyone else. Harry got second place, due to his moral fiber. I laughed at that and gave him another tight hug. He was now tied with Cedric for the final task.

Dumbledore told us when the final task would be and that thee champions would find out what it was a month before hand. We all went back to the castle and I went to the hospital wing. With the others (Cedric, Cho, Fleur, Gabrielle, Harry, Hermione and Victor) who were in the lake.

I went to the Astronomy tower to meet Draco. He hugged me asking if I was ok and I told him I was fine. After a half hour we went back to our separate house dorms. I fell asleep after blocking my mind and dreamed my swimming lessons from the summer at the Burrow.
