Faline's Brother is a Champion

The Feast and Announcement

We got to the castle safely even with all the rain. Peeves tried to get us with water balloons, but McGonagall dealt with him. The sorting hat sang its song and the first years were sorted into their houses. Collins little brother Dennis got sorted into Gryffindor.

Dennis was telling us how the giant squid put him back into the boat, after he fell into the lake. Collin then pointed to Harry and I saying who we were. I rolled my eye as Dumbledore said "tuck in" and the food appeared. Harry and Ron stuffed themselves as usual I laughed quietly at their behavior.

Nick the ghost was telling us about Peevees causing trouble and scaring the house elves. This got Hermione's attention and she stopped eating the food. She said it was slave labor as they didn't get paid or holiday's. Ron tried to tempt her with a treacle tart when dessert appeared. But she didn't budge on her decision on the matter.

Dumbledore and started his speech, the usual telling the first years not to go into the forest. That Mr Filch had a list of banned items on his office door. But then he said there would be no Quidditch this year. Everyone was upset and complained including me.

But he made us quiet was about to tell us why there would be no Quidditch. A loud clap of thunder and lighting interrupted him. A scarred wizard stop it with his wand. As he shook Dumbledore's hand the twins told us that he was Mad-eye Moody.

Dumbledore then told us we would be the host of the Triwizard Tournament starting in October. The twins asked if he was joking, he told them he wasn't. As he about to tell us one he heard in the holidays. Professor McGonagall cleared her throat and gave him a pointed look.

He told us that only those seventeen or older would be able to enter the tournament. This upset a lot of those (the twins) under 17 who wanted to enter their name. He told us that the headmasters from the other two schools would arrive on Halloween. With their students who wished to enter the tournament.

On the way back to the common room the Weasley's complained. Ginny, Hermione and I went straight to bed after entering Gryffindor Tower. Our stuff was waiting for us as usual and we (Ginny and I) put our pj's on. I saw Gwen a sleep on her special pillow.

When I heard a tapping at the window. I turned to see Draco's owl with letter on the ledge. I gave him a treat and took the letter. Draco was only wishing me goodnight and telling me to not to try to enter the tournament.

I rolled my eyes at that. I got into bed giving Gwen a goodnight pat and blocked my mind. It helped keep the nightmares of Voldemort away. And stopped people from reading my mind without my permission in my sleep. That night I dreamed of who would be Hogwarts champion and want they may face.
