Authors note: Yes. yes. I know. This is way overdue. I am really sorry. I really can't keep up with anything in my life right now. XD
Anyways, here you go! Don't hate me. The title serves as a warning.

LARALEN
Dawn had arrived and so had she.
First we heard a rustle and the screeching laughter of the shadow monsters. Then her laughter came and I felt something in the pit of my stomach.
I felt fear. The desperate kind. I hold on to Bleon because my gut instinct tells me she had not come here for nothing and I wish it would be over already.
Her laughter turned maniacally evil that it sent the hairs on my skin to stand up. I stand, almost pulling Bleon harshly with me. He was still half asleep but his eyes were wide with fear. I turned to watch Thranduil stand closer to Mantheniel who was already holding on to two of her swords.
"You need to get out of here," Thranduil tells her as everyone seems to look around to where a possible attack may come from.
"Thranduil, as much as you want to tell me what to do and how logical it may seem- the battle has already come and if you think I would leave during the middle of it, you did not entirely think properly when you asked me to marry you," she says, although she meant it as a joke, I knew she was terrified. Thranduil merely looked at her as one would look at something he did not understand but loved dearly anyway.
"Truth be told, your stubbornness was the only thing I thought about when I asked you to marry me," he then replied and I could actually hear Falasdir give out a nervous chuckle.
"Okay, you two, now is not the time," he then says as he helps Lindethiel up on her feet.
The enemy was taking too long. What was their plan? The waiting was creating more space for fear instead of bravery.
"Lara, keep Bleon close to you." Lady Lorelei instructs and I give her a nod, pulling Bleon all the more closer. Everyone was ready but I worried about Falasdir. How would he fair in a fight like this? With Lindethiel in his arms like that?
There was another antagonizing scream by one of Thranduil's Elven guards. I hold on to the pendant on my neck and make eye contact with Turwaithiel who seemed to look the most tired out of everyone. She gives me a reassuring nod in which I return. My body was near collapsing because of how tired I was.
Then the forest was silent. Perhaps she just wanted to scare us?
Impossible.
I was right, of course. It all happened too fast.
Black shadows came appearing out of nowhere and the forest around us was suddenly ablaze. I heard someone scream but my mind could no longer process who it was as more of them came out.
I fought to protect Bleon. I had a grip in his hand when suddenly it was gone.
"Bleon?" I screamed but the world was moving too fast and everything seemed to hurt. Everything around me seemed to be made of fire.
I felt all the air sucked out of me as one shadow seemed to dart right through me. I felt everything at once as I hit the cold earth and could see nothing but the open sky. My skin felt like it was being scraped off, slowly and placed back again.
I couldn't cry out. The pain made it impossible to even breathe. My head almost cracked open when I tried to turn to where Bleon had run off to. I couldn't see him. Everything was a blur.
