Chapter 9

Amintas pov

"Hey guys its dance rebel here with a special surprise for all of you. " i say into the camera. "So a lot of people have been commenting down below who i really am. So your wish is coming true so. Ladies and gentlemen. Viewers around the world. I give  you. " i take off my mask." The real me.  Now some of you are wondering why i suddenly am doing this. And i have a perfectly good explanation for it. You see. My mom just recently passed and um.." i begin to get teary eyed. " and she left a note for me that said for me to keep dancing no matter what. And she knew my identity but the thing is that i never told her. She figured it out. So thanks for all your support please give this video a thumbs up and comment nice things please. I really need some happy boosters. Thanks guys
Rebel out" i hit the stop button as i hear shuffles of feet getting louder and louder until a short figure stands over me.

"You know. You didn't have to do that." Glitch says to me. I stand up and lift my eyebrows.

"So a little birdy told me that you have a crush on someone." I started to beat around the bush.

"W-what crush? I have no crush." He looks down at his hands.

"Are you sure?" I ask standing in front of him now.

"O-oh yeah t-totally. "

"Glitch you stutter when you lie. I know you all too well."

"Who told you at least?" He asks.

"May told me and who it was." A couple seconds after he blushes madly and looks away.

"W-what did she say?" He asks sincerely yet with total fear shaking in his voice.

"She said it was me. But that thought was crazy. So then she told me that he's been non stop talking about this new student . So you like rebel. Not me. Silly may."

" actually. She has it wrong. I-i don't like you like that." My heart began to break after a few seconds. Trying to play it cool.

"O-oh. Good. That would be really weird if it were us anyways. " i tried to avoid a voice crack.  A moment of awkward silence came across the room before i started , "um so you want to work on the showcase dance routine or Rasas class routine?" I ask him shaking the thought of him not liking me off my shoulders.

"Um Rasas class because that's a grade. And we basically got it down. Just a few tweaks here and there. " he says willing .

"Sounds great."

~time skip~

We practiced for about 4 hours. Glitch went to his house all sweaty to get us these cloths that he froze in his freezer while i was over here sweating buckets. My legs feel like jello,  my (invisible) abs are cramping and killing me, my arms feel like noodles, and my vision is a blur. I hear glitch come in as he bends down next to me and hands me the cloth. I take it as my hand immediately drops down to the ground.

"Sorry glitch I'm exhausted." I say.

"No worries. Lets get you somewhere you can cool off easier. " he takes me under the arms and helps my down the stairs, across the street to his house (which has air conditioning) as he set me down on the couch. "You gonna be alright?" He asked as he placed the cold cloth on my forehead. I nod my head. "Lean forwards" he says as i get enough core strength to sit up. He lifts up the back of my shirt and  he  places the cloth on my back as the cooling sensation tickles my skin. I come back to my senses as he takes the cloth off my back.

"Thanks glitch." I say.

"Any time minty. I got chu. " he assures me .

"Geezum glitch are you trying to kill her? " may comes in the room with two water bottles. I gladly take one and gulp it down.

"Mom!" He whines.

"Don't worry may. I'm still alive just tired."

"Do you want to take a nap?"

"Nah I'm good but you know what sounds great may?"

"What hun? "

"Fruit." I smile at her as she chuckles.

"Ill be back." She then scurried off to the kitchen. How come moms are always in the kitchen? The memories of my mom start to flood back in as i block them out as best i can and think, what am i going to do about school?

" order up!" May comes out with a plate full of sliced cut oranges.

"May. Have i ever told you that you're amazing?!" I smile at her.

" oh honey too many times to count but thanks anyway." She stands there for a few seconds of silence before she blinks and turns to glitch. " oh and glitch your father is coming at the end of the week make sure your room and your bathroom and everything is spotless until he leaves.  "

"Father?" I look at glitch. Giving him a somewhat shocked and annoyed and surprised look . ( i know that type of face sounds impossible but really it isn't.)

"Oh um.." glitch starts.

"I should get going to work. You guys be safe alright?" She grabs her purse and keys as she walks out the front door.

"Father!"

" yeah. Um did i not mention that my dad from Korea might be visiting for the entire month?"

"WHAT!? AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME?!" I yell.
